  Amazing surprise

  They were so nice and ready for Covid. The insight dining is amazing and the rooms are very pretty. Clean and lots of places to hang out. Chess boards and games plus the pool is amazing. Bring your walking shoes. Great trails and walking distance to the town.

  Wonderful weekend getaway

  Elegant hotel, great staff, they take care of your every need. Good hiking on property and path into Bedford. If concerned about COVID, just a heads up, limited mask wearing by patrons and no enforcement by Mgmt.

  Friends getaway.

  Truly a wonderful hotel. Very well maintained. Has a historic feel but doesnt feel run down. Grounds- the grounds are beautiful. Lots of greenery in the area. You feel like you are someplace away from the hustle and bustle. We enjoyed the fire pit at night. Lots of trailers but to cold to enjoy in February. Facilities- the facilities feel charming and historic. Long hallways, numerous nooks and crannies to explore, historic art and artifacts focusing on the history of Bedford throughout the hotel. I loved all the seating and lounge chairs throughout the hotel. The indoor pool is lovely and quite large. Most people were lazing on the indoor lounge chairs surrounding the pool versus actually swimming. Had the pool to myself at one point. Rooms- very good size with many offering a patio. They could use a refresh in regards to the soft goods and carpet but very clean. Bed comfortable. Restaurants- a little bit of a struggle and Covid is for sure to blame. Food was average but servers lovely and delicious drinks. Limited options for breakfast and lunch. Opted for dinner outside the hotel. Should have more space open for breakfast on Sunday. Spa- The mens spa is very small but very relaxing. I liked the cold pool and the multi flow shower They limit the bath area to three people at a time. I am not sure what the pre-Covid capacity is but three was perfect. I would not want more in this area. I was told the ladies side is much larger. I had a pedicure with Mindy. She was personable and did a great job. Thank you Mindy. Lauren at the FD was helpful pre-stay organizing my group and during the stay when we had a billing mixup. She is great. If you want a few days away from the hustle and bustle, this is a great place. I am very much looking forward to hopefully returning this summer and enjoying the outdoor activities they offer and exploring the grounds and trails.

  Anniversary celebration

  What a wonderful place to stay. It is like going back in time! Think of the Grand Hotel on Macinac Island. We hiked their trails in the snow, swam in their HUGE pool, played checkers, ate a delicious breakfast in their tavern (I had oatmeal and scrabble and my husband had eggs) and enjoyed our lovely room. They have so many little nook and cranny rooms. My husband always sleeps in later than me and so I enjoyed one of these little rooms which was so nice and warm. The staff were all so congenial, from the people who park your car, to the check in people to the restaurant staff. I wonderful experience!

  Anniversary overnight

  The resort is stunning, but there was nothing to do because of covid. You have to book time in the pool in advance, and it was magnificent. Unfortunately wanted to try the spa, but it was booked full a month out. But if all you want to do is relax, this place is for you. There's rocking chairs on the porches and lounge chairs everwhere.
