  Amazing 2 week stay

  We stayed for 2 weeks at Omar Khayham from 29th May. We arrived a little after 1.30pm after a 2 hr transfer by coach, we were last drop off, so was a lot longer than 50 minds stated by love holidays. On arrival we were issued with our wrist bands then asked if we wanted to have lunch before check in as lunch service ended at 2.30.Which was good as we were all hungry by the time we arrived. After lunch we finished check in and the Porter escorted us to our room 2010. We had a first floor room with a sea view, which was spotlessly clean and huge inside. We had two double bedrooms both with their own balconies with a Seaview, separate toilet and bathroom and lounge with two sofa beds and a double sofa. It was plenty big enough for the three of us, and very comfortable. Although at night time you will hear the entertainment until midnight as the stage area is directly below this room, but that never bothered us. We arrived early in season too, so things were just opening up and the air conditioning in the rooms do not come on until middle of June... Which we weren't told by Love holidays, this didn't bother us much but my sister did struggle with the heat while we were there. Management did manage to find her a fan for the last few days which was a relief for her. The pools are amazing. Our daughter loved the slides and the main pool by the beach, both were kept really clean and we enjoyed sitting around the main pool watching the entertainment team and taking part every now and then with the dances, darts and boules. The food at the hotel was always good. We found plenty to eat everyday and was always hot and full of flavour. Pizzas are amazing in the main restaurant. We have a superb waiter Wael who reserved us a wide room window table over looking the pool everyday at lunch and dinner. Our drinks would be waiting on the table for us and refilled almost as soon as we have finished them, and in the evening the table was decorated with flowers.... Amazing touch and Wael went above and beyond to make sure we had what we needed and were happy at meal times. Entertainment team.... Just wow! We loved all of them... So entertaining from early morning to late at night. Our daughter is extremely shy and it wasn't until the last few days she came out of her shell abit and high fived few of them, her favourite was the guy from the children's club who dresses as a Bumble Bee, he would go out of his way everyday to come and say "hello" and ask her if she wanted to join in, more often than not she wouldn't go as she is shy and unfortunately for the hotel, at the moment there are not many English guests, which also made it hard for our daughter. But on the last day she did manage to give her Bumble Bee a hug which I think made everyone's day as irlf proved his hard work paid off and she did enjoy her time on holiday. Momo the Camel excursions guy is so funny too... We went out on the camel tour and loved it, and even after taking our money Momo was still pleasant and came to talk to us everyday, even after the trip he was still coming over to chat. Lovely guy. Also special thank you to the person on Facebook who kindly sorted the fridges for our rooms and for placing our two families next to each other. That made our holiday extra special as I hadn't seen my sister for over a year and it meant so much to us. Everyone who worked at the hotel made our holiday special and memorable, and we would like to say a HUGE thank you to all the staff for this. We hope when we return next year to bring more family members with us and that the hotel continues to receive more English bookings. Would recommend this hotel to anyone who likes a fun filled holiday, or for those who like to just chill on the beach. Amazing hotel and amazing staff.

  Family Holiday, children 12,10 and 5

  Just returned from 2 weeks AI here with Love holidays. Hotel is 3 star, public areas great and bedrooms large ( we had a joined family room as three children), however bathrooms/showers in our room were a bit dated ( however they worked well). Pools are great with 2 large swimming pools, 2 decent sized childrens pools and the aqua slides with plunge pool. The kids loved this and even though the hotel sits directly on the beach we didnt visit much ( beach was lovely this was purely due to sand upsetting daughters eczema). We enjoyed the food which wasnt UK style ( we were pretty much the only brits here with lots Algerians, Tunisians, Russians and remaining mixed bag which we loved as much more interesting), drinks could have had more variety and some diet options other than sparkling water! The animation crew work long and hard and are relentlessly cheerful, certainly couldnt fault them except maybe more kids sports. On the sorts note practically our only disappointment was the water sports as repeatedly asked and was either too windy ( although next sentence was how flat the sea was for eg banana boat type thing), or sea too rough. In 2 weeks the kayaks, pedaloes etc didnt appear to have moved once. Just appeared to be an opening to sell the motorised beach sports. We did pirate boat and camel riding and these were well worth the money also, would like a few more excursions to see more of Tunisia but only one other trip offered which was quad bikes ( app Russians dont really leave the resort ). All in all absolutely well worth the money and a great family holiday.

  Smelly and not clean

  Since we entered the hotel we noticed a terrible fishy smell , on the way to the room very dirty corridors , smelly restaurant, food with no taste at all , big quantities with no quality, very expensive for the services offered , photos on the website doesnt reflect the reality at all , very crowded. Swimming pool very small compared to to pictures on the web. Rooms very old, bad air conditioning system. Very bad experience , checked out a n day before.

  Our stay

  We absolutely loved our stay at the hotel. We came to the hotel to celebrate my inlaws 40th Ruby Anniversary with their friends my other half and our 2 year old. The rooms we had wer perfect nothing to fault what so ever. Had a cot ready for her which was amazing. Our rooms wer spotless cleaned and covered with beautiful flowers in the morning. The hotel itself you cant even fault it. Lots of space super clean lovely restaurant and mainly the outside was gorgeous. Beautiful view of the sea lovely fresh air. The entertainment was good but the staff saw our little madam was bored and being a madam they came down and Anthiny the area manager out their screen projector on especially for her. The chefs the staff are remarkable welcoming. Cant rate this place any more higher. Anthony who is the area manager of both of the khayam hotels is fantastic always wants to make sure you are happy smiling and enjoying yourself. Defintely coming back again

  Consistently amazing

  If you want a boring hotel with no entertainment rubbish food and miserable staff then I suggest you go elsewhere. We have just got home from our 3rd visit to this hotel (2nd time this Year) and just like every other visit it was fantastic. The staff are the most friendly you will meet in any hotel and they allow you to enjoy your holiday just the way you want, if you want to get involved in the games shows or sports you are welcome if you just want to chill then they don't try to force you. The waiters and barstaff are on the whole so happy to help with anything you need. Anthony the guest relations manager is always on hand if something isn't quite right and it does get sorted almost immediately. The food is good and always something to eat the only down side was that not enough choice for young children but under the circumstances with covid and not many British tourists it was to be expected. In saying this though they were so a coma dating making food especially for our 2 girls every day and bringing to our table The animation team are amazing and like all the team here from cleaners all the way up make you feel like family. My 2 girls aged 2 and 10 have fallen in love with this place. I hate leaving this hotel it is amazing and me and my family will be returning time after time to visit our Tunisian family of the Omar Khayam thank you to you all for making it a special stay yet again.
