Don't book--it's an overpriced hostel, not a hotelDecided on a last minute weekend ski trip with friends to the Sestriere ski area, and ended up in this hotel as that was the only one with availability for 9 people. We booked 2 single rooms, 2 double rooms, and 1 triple room. Truth is all these rooms are really the same: they are first of all extremely basic, and come with 1 bunk bed and 3 single beds (even the single room!!). they just charge you a lot more for the triple room. Interior is cheap, all plastic and metal. What you would expect from a hostel, but not a place that claims to be a hotel. Price was 150 per night for a double room, which is an outrageous price for a hostel! Location is in the middle of nowhere, the hotel claims to be close to ski slopes, but that's not true. Also, you were supposed to be able to rent skis for the hotel directly, but their ski rental shop was never open. Staff was completely useless, inefficient, and rude. The hotel doesn't have any gym/shower facilities, so we asked if we could keep just one of the rooms (out of the 5 we had booked) a bit longer on the last day so we could shower after a full day of skiing. Even if we offered to pay an extra charge, the staff did not even try to accommodate this, but told us we could change clothes (not shower) in the bar toilets, however, they refused to provide us with towels. All in all, this would have been fine if we had known we were coming to a hostel. But charging us outrageous prices, and claiming to be a hotel is a straight lie. Don't ever go unless you are organizing a trip for a large group of school kids, or you are specifically looking for a hostel. This is really the only thing this place should be used for!

Horrible and smellyI went to this hotel expecting a basic clean hotel but that was nothing like what I got an under equipped room where the loo did not work, there was some sort of substance stain in the floor and unclean beds, lights that had no bulb and wires cut showing no care in detail. There was loud music playing very late into the night making it impossible to sleep, let alone the disgusting beds. The pictures on this website are completely misleading which is I think is very sneaky considering it is such a well know place where the athletes stayed in the 2006 Torino Winter Olympic Games. The staff in this hotel are useless they "cleaned the rooms about every 2 days but all they did was make the beds and and put water on the floor. Ski in ski out you're having a laugh the slopes are about 1000 metres away. This is a complete lie and a waste of my time.

Ugly foodWe've traveled with friends to ride snowboard in via lattea and chose this hotel for stop. Generally speaking rooms are acceptable, they are being cleaned every day with new towels given. However they fit more hostel type of room than 3 stars hotel. That wouldn't be a problem since we came there to ride snowboard but after we've been served their meals - I just had to write a comment. Both breakfasts and dinners tasted like wood. During a week of my visit all I could eat for breakfast was croissant with Nutella. Eggs were cold, bread was old, tea and coffee had no taste at all and looked like a dirty water... As for dinners, I had impression they were prepared mostly from what was left from breakfast. Old eggs with onions fried in old oil, fish tasted like wet carpet. Even pasta was far from being just o.k. I hope at least that would be nice in Italy. All I liked was starters: mozzarella with tomatoes and salami. All in all I do not recommend eating in this hotel. As for place to stop just to sleep - it should be ok.

Unpleasant experienceI spent three nights from the 30.12.2017 to the 02.01.2018 in this place. It was a package organised by the events company VGMANIA for the period of the new year eve. The place doesn't look at all an hotel, at least in the configuration they proposed to us. To be underlined: rooms with bunk beds and very bad quality food and drinks (very cheap). I do not know if the general bad quality of the offered service is responsibility of the Olimpic Center or VGMania's; for sure I would not and will not suggest this place. Giovanni
