  Great for a family!

  Olympia Mare is just out of town, 5 min drive. Must have a car, or a bike if no kids! Hotel is a bit older, and larger but great space for kids to run around. No food options at the hotel, but the town is literally a 5 min drive down the road. We went to the local grocery store and picked up feta, olives, bread, Etc. and had breakky on the balcony. Hotel is right on the beach!! Beach is nice but lots of rocks (standard for Greece). Recommended... but also think there are more options downtown. There is no pool at Olympia Mare.

  Ideal haven of peace and quiet, comfort and space - all in a magic seaside location

  On a first visit of Kos Island, we were blessed with having chosen the ideal hotel. The location is superb: on the sea, close to the center of the charming town of Kardamena and yet quiet and peaceful. One cannot write enough about the owner Nikos, his wife and mother. They have put a lot of love in this place and it shows. The service is flawless and the family is always on hand and ready to provide whatever it is guests may wish, from recommendations and directions to extra Illy coffee pods for the in-room coffee machine. The apartments are large and comfortable. Wonderful sea-view, strong WiFi signal, a full kitchen, and every comfort one may wish. We were impressed by the large bottles of first-rate bathroom toiletries as well as the unlimited Illy coffee pods and such thoughtful touches as enough mineral water for the week we stayed, a prompt and thorough maid service, and a drying rack for clothes, towels, and bathing suits. We were grateful to not see one single TV set in the entire hotel, as well as for the privacy and space of the private beach right in front of the hotel. This is a paradise we will feel privileged to come back to.

  Beautiful hotel at a lovely location.

  This had been a very relaxing and exciting holiday for us. Very helpful family that owns the hotel. Rooms are very comfortable and well equipped. Beach has sandy and mostly rocky places. Very silent and relaxing place at the southern part of the island. You can travel all around the island in 5 days.

  Home from home

  When we were looking for a place to stay in kos, we knew we didnt want to be in the centre of kos town or the centre of kardamena town. We wanted somewhere tranquil and peaceful. We looked at Olympia Mare several times and were concerned about how close it seemed to be to the airport and how far away it seemed to be from the centre of kardamena. Well, we neednt have worried about either issue. Here is a fantastic set of self catering accommodations which are enormous in size. The airport is not an issue and we could sleep easy at night. The local bus stops right outside and is literally a 6/7 minute journey into town. Nikos is the most hospitable owner I have ever met. Our flight home was at 1am and we checked out at midday. He allowed us to use the private beach all day. He offered us a place to keep our luggage. Plus, he offered us facilities where we could shower and freshen up. All this without any extra charge whatsoever. His hospitality and customer service was second to none. We are shocked this is only a 2 star accommodation. It deserves much much more.   Highly recommended

  If you want to enjoy a holiday in Kardamena, this place should be your first priority!!! A family owned hotel, (Nikos and his family are great hosts)at a great location. You will always feel welcomed!!! !!!
