Excellent hotelThe hotel is just excellent. The rooms are very nice. This are non smoking rooms but you can smoke on the balcony. The breakfast is very good. They have a nice buffet with cheese and cold cuttings. The view is just fantastic. I highly recommend this hotel and will return.

Relaxing hotel with beautiful viewsWe paid extra for a lake view, and it was worth it - the views were amazing. In terms of the rooms, they were on the basic side but clean and comfortable. The bathrooms could do with a makeover, but perfectly functioning. The pool and bar area was very nice - decent size pool, and plenty of loungers. Breakfast had a good variety - buffet style. In terms of location to town - this is what we were worried about, however there is a tourist bus once an hour taking you into town (just about 5 mins by car), and the same coming back (and they run till 1am I believe). There is also a very lovely promenade walk from the hotel along the lake into the town. This does take a good 20 mins to walk, but it is lovely. We took a car, and there is plenty of free parking. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and overall would recommend this hotel to others. Being out of the town, you get the space and grounds.

Beautiful place for a painting holidayMy husband and I took a group of painters for a painting holiday around Lake Garda and the hotel was in a perfect location. It had a lovely swimming pool and relaxing gardens and is only a stones throw from the lake. Good food, clean and tidy, lovely friendly staff.

Very friendly and convenient place for sailingMy daughter (9 year old) and I spent few days in the club hotel Olivi. I selected this place because the sailing school Stickl is located near the hotel. It is very convenient to have a room in the club and attend a sailing class, because it is only few steps away. I found the reception team very friendly, Clara, Emma and especially Laura who helped a lot with the transfer from/to the hotel. It is relaxing to have this kind of help during the vacation! The team in the restaurant is very helpful and friendly too, especially Raffaella. I do recommend this place if you look for a friendly team and the location combined with the sailing club.

Tennis tour and cycling to Malcesine10 of us travelled to Malcesine for our 3rd visit to this beautiful lakeside town for our annual tennis tour. This was the first time to stay at the Clubhotel Olivi and we shall be back there again next year after an amazing stay. It was so convenient for the tennis, the staff could not have been more friendly, the views were spectacular, the courts well kept, the grounds were wonderful etc etc. We stayed 3 nights and played tennis on 4 days. There are 11 clay courts in good condition with 2 covered. The hotel is located on the edge of town and took 20 mins stroll along a beautiful lakeside path to get into town. We did this each day. The hotel is shown as 3 star. The rooms are purpose built, clean, functional, not super luxe but they were better than we expected. We stayed in the annex overlooking the lake, courts and well kept gardens with Olive trees and beautiful flowers. Each of our rooms had a balcony but you need to check on your booking. We used the swimming pool and Outdoor jacuzzi/hot tub. We were on B&B basis and breakfast was good. Hot and cold options with fruits, meats, cereals, breads all available in good amounts. The bar in the evening was friendly and we used to meet each night. Bar staff good fun. The operate a chit system so all drinks easily went on individual room bills. Also available are many activities from table tennis to pool to table football. There is a gym, sauna and spa area with massage bookable. Do swim in the lake. It is refreshing but the water is so clean. There is a diving platform a little way towards town from the hotel which is convenient but anywhere will do. Talking to their wonderful manager I learnt that the hotel operates April to beginning October. Has 90 rooms. April, May very busy with tennis pre season training groups. Otherwise a mix but quieter from mid September. Largest users are Germans but good mix of other nationalities including Brits. Activities from water sports on the lake, cycling, wine tasting, boat trips, trekking can all be organised either through the hotel or they will guide you to the best places. Same for restaurants. Try the restaurant just in the lakeside nearby as it is good, friendly and very convenient. I will go back and stay with my family for a Less tennis focused holiday sometime. For cycling use the Extreme cycle shop at the base of the cable car. Good road, mountain, ebikes etc and very helpful. Easy to get to cable car with bikes to do cycling in the hills. Above all the welcome could not be better from the staff. They were very special. From all the guys at Kimpton Tennis Club, many many thanks for a top time and look forward to seeing you in 2018.
