  Like 'The Secret Garden'

  I loved staying here, it was such a beautiful and exciting to stay at that I didn't want to leave. Complete with an aviary, a gorgeously friendly dog, two stunning black cats, an old-fashioned cottage, several 'Secret Garden' worthy walled gardens, fruit trees, chickens, and topiary, there was so much to explore and I loved every minute of it.

  Fabulous garden! Huge happy bumblebees!

  We spent a night here in the atmospheric cottage which used to be the old dairy! Over 20 years Scott and Deb have done a wonderful job creating this gardener's and artist's paradise. Scott was very friendly and chatty but we did not see much of him as he was off at work. We didn't see much of Deb as she seemed quite busy and distracted but there was plenty to see in the garden. The coffee machine was great, the produce and bread supplied for breakfast, books to read about the history of the place all nice touches. However, the bed was old and sagging probably needing to be replaced.

  Exceptional experience for a like minded gardener lover and country girl.

  It feels like Ive stepped into the world of Miss Potter. The property and garden is out of this world, expressing Deb and Scotts love of what they do exceptionally well - loving what they do. the garden is better than a national trust English garden, the historic buildings restored with respect and the cottage is cosy with window views that rest the soul.   Fantastic accommodation and location

  We were very lucky to find this accommodation available during the peak season at the end of December. We had booked it last minute to stay in a convenient location, and what a find it was! As all the other reviews have mentioned, the attention to detail in the accommodation and the gardens is second to none. It is clear the owners are meticulous in looking after the property both inside and out, and the cottage is very comfortable. Agree with the other reviews that 2 nights would be best, as we only had 1 night and wish we had stayed for another. We would love to stay here again next time we come back to Tasmania

  Perfect

  Lovely hosts, very comfortable stay, beautiful gardens even in the middle of winter. Chops was a perfect canine host, we could have stayed a week. Lots to do in the area, but we could equally have snuggled down and not gone anywhere!
