Puts you at the heart of the actionDecent hotel located near the centre of the old city, giving easy access to many of the city's main sites, such as the Maiden's Tower, Palace of the Shirvanshah's and Fountains Square. I think it is a little bit of a stretch to say it is a boutique hotel as it is a little careworn in places (e.g. peeling wallpaper on stairwells) and the limited buffet breakfast wasn't much to wrote home about. However, the price was reasonable so very much a case of pay your money and take your choice. If you are a light sleeper like me, avoid rooms 101 and 102 as they are directly behind reception meaning that everyone entering or leaving the hotel will walk and talk past your door. I also found the mattress in 101 a little too hard, but that is more a matter of personal taste. Staff very friendly and room and common spaces nice and clean.

Perfect location and comfortWe stayed 3 nights to explore Baku. Location is perfect. Everything can be explored on foot within 30 minutes. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. Airco worked very well and WiFi was excellent. Breakfast on the top floor, with a beautiful view on the city and the sea, was good. Small improvement can be archieved by better cleaning of plates / tea spoons and providing better quality of coffee (no filter coffee).

Great locationWe stayed 3 nights in this boutique hotel. The room itself was good, clean and the bathroom was spacious and clean. The only thing that was not so good was the bed mattress. Unfortunately our bed was very lumpy and uncomfortable. Nothing we could do out that. Staff were very friendly and the breakfast area and choice of food was good. The breakfast area is at the top of the hotel which gives great views of the city. The hotel was great value and perfectly located in the old town.

Charming Small Hotel in the Heart of BakuStayed there for five nights in late November and am very pleased to choose this place. The location is superb, the place is within walking distance to most touristy attractions, next to metro station, and local buses. Many taxis wait 24/7 at the gate to the old town just steps away. The place is small but has most amenities normally associated with a 4 star large hotel. Because of its location and a small size it provides peace and quiet much appreciated after busy hectic days. Initially I was given twin bed room but after two nights moved to a larger room with a very comfortable single queen size bed at no extra cost. Everything in the room worked as it supposed to. Late Novembers could be cold so good heating was a must. Its rooftop restaurant provides surprisingly good choice of food and even this "foodie" couldn't find anything wrong with it. The restaurant provides also nice view of the Caspian Sea and quiet "digestive" local tunes. The young guys at the reception are very well mannered and eager to assist and to give tips a tourist may need in discovering the city. Pity Baku is so far away from North America. I would love to visit the city and this hotel in the future again.
