Estoy esperando volver, completamente recomendable.

Best bang for your buck!I have been to New Orleans several times. I've always stayed at hotels within walking distance of the French Quarters. This time, I wanted to try something different, and I chose the Historic Creole Inn. I really didn't know what to expect given the mixed reviews. But, my girlfriend and I found the place to be quite nice. It is tucked in a nice and quiet area close to Frenchmen St. and a mile away from Bourbon St. There is a grocery store and a number of coffee shop nearby. It is not a 4 or 5-star hotel. And they aren't close to charging you that price. It is a place where you can stay, have a nice room with decent beds, and a clean bathroom. It you are fine without all the bells and whistles, and want to use your money instead on stuff you want to do in New Orleans. Then, this place is for you. What I liked most is the customer service. When you email or text them, they respond very quickly. We got to the hotel much earlier than check-in time. We asked if we could leave our stuff there and come back for it. They responded quickly with a "yes". When we got there, the lady told us that our room is actually ready. We were so pleasantly surprised! Again, if you are a no nonsense, no frills kind of guy or gal, this is a good place to stay. Otherwise, find a hotel where you'll pay atleast 3x what you pay at the Historical Creole Inn. - Ricky

No frills but great valueMy wife and I stayed here for 4 nights. Old house and no frills, but the place was fine for us (we were out most of the time). It's basically a 2 story house with a common area on the first floor and 4 or 5 guest rooms total. The walls are thin and the floors and doors creak a bit but the place asks for guests to be quiet, so noise wasn't really a problem. Our room was fine. We happened to be in a room with 2 beds, one was more comfortable than the other. Shower was fine. There's a small fridge in the room. There's a coffee maker downstairs in the common area, guests make coffee themselves. One of the lights in our room was out during our stay (but didn't bother us - we're pretty low maintenance), Staying here is kind of like staying in a bed and breakfast without the breakfast part, but there are plenty of places to eat right in the neighborhood, as well as bars and other stuff to do, and a convenience store. It's about 10-15 mins walk to the east edge of the French Quarter. Overall it felt like kind of living in the neighborhood, which we enjoyed. One night we had a parade come right by us a block away, which was really cool. One note - neighborhood is decent and fine during the day, but better to walk in a group late at night. Overall - not fancy at all, very basic, but price was great and the owners/staff were friendly and responsive. If you want a fancy place, this is not the place for you, but if you want a stay where you feel like a local resident, this is a great option. I would definitely stay again, and my wife liked it as well.

The Truth will set you freeI stayed at this flea bag inn and it was UNCLEAN...it's that simple. The owner isn't a doctor but a Nurse practioner (I did some investigating) who is nasty, rude, & a liar! Look at his responses to people! I should have went on my gut feeling but made the mistake and stayed & regret it immensely. Not to worry, the owner will have something nasty in response. Just clean up your act and maybe the complaints will stop. DONT STAY HERE!
