  A very comfortable stay

  Okumah hotel is a newer hotel in Kumasi, it opened in April and I stayed in May 2014. They have some big pluses going for them as a new hotel, they offer great rates compared to some of the competition in Kumasi. For how nice it is it could easily be 3 star if it had a pool. When the staff took me to my room I saw something that I have not seen anywhere else in Accra. The guy checked the sink water, checked the shower, checked the toilet, checked the AC, and the fridge. The room was very good sized with a firm comfortable bed nice sheets and pillow. Also had a flat screen mini fridge and a wardrobe. The bathroom was very nice with a basin style stylish sing, and a glass door shower with hot water. There are a few finishing details that could make it perfect. Beyond the rooms there is a very comfortable seating area with leather couches and a big screen TV. The restaurant served a standard breakfast that was tasty by friendly staff. Power went off briefly but generator quickly kicked on.

  Best hotel experience in Ghana, EVER!!

  This is the first ever review I've done on any hotel, ever!! And it is certainly well deserved. I stayed in the hotel for two weeks with my fiancé in March 15 and was not at all disappointed. The accommodation is excellent, comfortable airy rooms with all essential amenities i.e. great Wi-Fi service, plush lounge with 5* décor where one is welcome to hosts guests. Everything is kept super clean and tidy; and I cant rave on enough about the staff! Everyone was extremely hospitable, help was readily at hand, the receptionists were super charming, and the chef was incredibly kind and cooked some awesome dishes. Had the opportunity of meeting the manager a couple of times and like his staff he was on point! The hotel is conveniently located, fairly close to central Kumasi, close to great hangouts like The View. The hotel is also situated opposite a fairly popular gym for all those fitness enthusiasts. Overall 10 out of 10 experience.

  A very enjoyable stay

  If you want to experience Kumasi as a tourist this is a great hotel as it is slightly off the beaten track, yet it has all the amenities you require - decent shower, aircon, good mattress and wifi. From the verandah you can watch the world go by, kids going to school, traders taking their goods to market, and washing being hung out to dry. Manager Sam was very helpful and friendly, and the staff here are all very pleasant. I would highly recommend this hotel if you want to escape the big hotel chains and enjoy the real Ghana. I would also recommend it for business, as it has everything required for meetings and small conferences.

  Best hotel ever

  There is no reason why one would not love this hotel. friendly staff. and the beds are so comfortable. The manger of the hotel will go out off his way to make your visit comfortable. the food is good, and if you get bored their is a bar across the street. on my next visit i will truly stay at this hotel.

  Main issue is that my travel agency Egencia proposed the room for 97 and real price is around 50. So hotel is ok for 50, but no restaurant, really basic breakfast (no choice, no coffee), no wifi, TV but very bad image on only one channel, a bit noisy AC. Definitely not the standard I was expecting. Other comments on trip advisor seem very suspicious and I don't feel the same after my stay.
