  Standard hotel

  People in reception were helpful even sometime difficult to understand each other. I did expect more from this hotel considering the price. Nice for the SPA but very dated and location quite far from Matsuyama. Connected with busses to the center of Matsuyama even frequency not too high.

  Awesome onsen experience!

  The public onsen is fantastic! I could bathe in different types of hot springs (from indoors onsens to bubbling beds and open-to-nature baths). The staff was very helpful and they kindly made a very detailed plan (in Japanese) for us to get to Aoshima (taxi, train and ferry) to see one of the cat islands in Japan. It was a pity they didn't have any dinner during Christmas eve though.

  Old hotel with good public bath

  Ijoined a group tour to vivit Japan and stayed in this hotel for one night. The room is reasonbly spacious and included Japanese and European style of furniture but it seems to be a bit old. Although the room is facing a road but the sound proofing is good. The buffet dinner was with good variety and the sushi was extremely fresh as it was freshly cut in front of us as a show. The buffet breakfast was of very good standard as there was freshly made smoothie made from tofu or vegetables. The public bath is spacious and with good variety which served from 5:30 to 21:30 which allowed me to enjoy it twice.

  If you want to go back to the 1970s

  You've found the right hotel, everything screams at you 1970s and while you might say that's not a bad thing in this case it pretty much is. 1st off the modern thing they call wifi only gets a signal in the reception area and is non existent in this very big long shaped hotel, which brings me onto the spa which is as far away as an airport terminal. The food is buffet which while I'm not a fan of at home in this case being a vegetarian on holiday in Japan it was most welcome. The room itself while spacious was bland and the beds were the old style were they dig into you. Luckily I was only spending a night here.

  Fantastic 1970s Japanese Time Travel Experience !!!

  Its Japan!! Its 1975 !!! Ultraman! Flared trousers!! Side burns!! Big hair!! Polished black Toyota Crown Taxis!! Sake, Xtra Dry Kirin beer and Sashimi! This hotel is straight out of 1975!! Its fantastic! It even smells like 70s (that priceless cigarette-wet-carpet-aircon smell!). Its got class by the bucket load: only hotel I have ever been to with a harpist providing live performance in the lobby! The food's great! No, PERFECT!! International lunch and breakfast buffet is peerless. The final crowning touch:- the hotel room key (yes, its a physical key!) comes with this classic vintage 6" long ORANGE perspex block keychain-holder - straight out of authentic 1975 hotel experience! And its huge - the long corridors and indoor viewing gallery disappear into the horizon. My mind spins. Its so perfect. I will go to this hotel again and again and again and again. Hell man I don't mind dying there. FOUR thumbs up (hands and legs).
