  very central and very clean

  The hotel is situated in the very center of the town of Pskov, 10-15 minutes walking to the Kremlin. Soviet style of the hotel, reception staff is friendly but not trained in European understanding, staff is very honest: if corridors are not lightened they say - cost saving. Room maids - great job, everything is extremely clean. Rooms to the street are noisy, no a/c. Bathroom - everything is not properly fixed, I was afraid to damage something just touching. Bath amenities - one small piece of soap for 2 people, that's it. Breakfast at extra cost (price is reasonable): coffee - instant, food is cold, the waitress doesn't care. In general for one night it's OK. Potentially this hotel might be luxurious: space, lobby, stairs, lounges on each floor, high ceiling.

  staying the center of Pskov

  We chose to stay at this hotel because it was more centrally located, and nearer to our friends in Pskov. Our rooms were small, basic, and clean, but could use updating. This is a good location, with a grocery store, cafes, and shops within easy walking distance.

  Exotic soviet hotel

  The communication with the hotel is only possible throughout e-mail. When calling the hotel no one is answering nor returning the missed calls. The rooms itself are small, with unpleasant aroma that cannot be aired by just opening windows. The hotel charges 50% of the rate for having a pet, however, there is no restriction on number of pets. Overall, the hotel itself is located in a typical Stalin era building with outdated interior and staffs attitude that seems to be stuck back in Stalin era. The exotic environment for the visitors is most certainly guaranteed. In regards the breakfast: fee is 5 euros; coffee that just looks like a light brown liquid and porridge in shade of grey; the selection at the buffet was next to nothing; and the table cloths were stained. Overall attitude is unpleasant. I could only thank the housekeeper ladies who were the only positive individuals in this hotel. Impersonal attitude, poor breakfast and room equipment!
