  Good vibe

  The vibe you get in the common room of a hostel can tell you a lot about a place. The common room & kitchen here are warm, packed with useful tourist reading materials, comfortable seating, staff available to answer questions, a well-stocked kitchen, music playing and lockers.   Muy cómodo

  La ubicación es perfecta. A pocas cuadras de las principales avenidas de Okinawa, y a 2 cuadras del monoriel. Las habitaciones son muy comodas al igual que las camas (es dificil encontrar eso en Asia). Tienen una sala de estar super hermosa, y comoda. La cocina es amplia y limpia al igual que las duchas y baños.

  I love everything here. :)

  We had a great time in this hostel,5minutes walk from Miebashi station,10mins walk from tomari port and 15mins walk from kokusai street,the bunk bed was great .No breakfast no problem,there was a kitchen and cozy living room which is big enough for everyone.

  Little Gem in Okinawa City

  Okinawa city is actually pretty easy to navigate with the Monorail and also very good bus system. I chose this hostel because of the many reviews I saw and its good central location, as I was travelling solo, I thought that I had better get a conveniently located area. This hostel is really ideally located. Its only 150m walk at most to the Miebashi monorail station. You can also get to the Naha Ferry Terminal pretty fast. Rooms: I booked for a bed in a mixed dorm, maybe its winter season so there were many available space. My room can accommodate up to 5 pax but through my 3 nights stay there, there were only me and another girl. The staff also tries to make sure that the same sexes stay in the room unless there is really no other space. The bed is simple but essential enough, with clean sheets and pillow. There are also 2 blankets given to us to keep warm. I saw an air conditioning in the room but there were no control for it, not sure if it is still in use. Toilets and Bath: I stayed on the fourth floor. There were only two toilets and one bath on this floor. The hot water shower was working well and there were shampoo inside. There is a large dressing table outside along the corridor with hairdryer, it is convenient. However, they do not provide towels, so you need to bring your own or rent from them. Common Area: There is only one common area on the 3rd floor. This is also where the reception is. You need to pay upfront for all the number of stays at the reception and the staff will show you around. There is a kitchenette and also a small living area which is cosy and clean for you to chill out. The cleaning hours are from 11am -1pm. During that period there will be no one to attend to your needs as all the staff are busy cleaning up. You can still hang around but do not disturb them cleaning up. The utensils and cutlery are free to use but make sure you clean, dry up and put back the items to the cabinets. The hostel provides free umbrella rentals too. Staff: Although some of the reviews here revealed that that staff were rude and unfriendly, but I beg to differ, the staff were helpful but they will not come up and hustle to you , if you have a question etc, they will be more than glad to help. Overall: I enjoyed my stay there and for the price, it was nothing to complain. One thing is the hostel is really clean, one of the better ones I been to. The toilets are always clean and no wet floors. Common area is also clean and good. The Wifi was working well for us. I definitely recommend this place for a good no frill stay.

  perfect location

  Sora house is in a wonderful location! few steps from Miebashi station , walking distance to Tomari port and still walking ditance to Starbucks in Kokusaidori street(main street in Naha !) i was in a dormitory room ...beside other guys snoring ( lol) place is comfy, clean and nice! There are still few things to consider about this guesthosue 1) they requested a deposti for room/hotel key .. i denied it cause is NOT written over rules in booking.com 2) lockers not available ... or better THERE are lockers but they are just for values... no way to store safely your bag, you have to trust other travellers ( in my experience ALL went very well ! ) 3) stairs :-P now to me was ok to carry the bag for 3 floors, not sure it'll be same comfy for girls or travellers with bigger bag ;)
