  Very nice venue - but not this specific unit

  When we stayed in Ocean Sands resort 7 years ago we had a beautiful 2/3 bedroom apartment with a nice balcony to sit on. This time the unit was n ice - but on the 7th floor still a bit noisy, and no balcony to sit on with more than 2 persons (:()

  great location

  This place was great. Facllities are good. The place is well maintained. Its in a great location to the restaurants, surf & yaght clubs. Not far from the beach & some nice cafe's. Everything within walking distance. Lovely views also.

  Wow factor

  We are a family of 7 (5 kids) and the look on their faces when we first opened the door said it all. Very thrilled! Really spacious, clean and modern. We were very happy with the suite - 3 good bedrooms and a kitchen, living area, laundry room and 2 bathrooms. The indoor swimming pool was wonderful - lovely warm spa pool and sauna. It seemed that most of the other people there either lived in the resort permanently or used it as a holiday home. This means that there was no loud partying or anything like that. Saw a few others with young families but not that many. The pool was never crowded and mostly we had it to ourselves. These are serviced apartments so you don't get 24/7 help from reception - but there's a very helpful lady at the service desk during normal working hours. Niggles are that we arrived on a Saturday night and the bed configuration wasn't right (we were missing a bed) so that couldn't be rectified until the next day. There was a number for emergencies, but we felt that didn't count as an emergency. But that was sorted out the next day without too much hassle. Also, I know it's a first world problem but paying high prices for limited wifi is not something most people will do. The positives far outweigh the negatives though. The location was perfect for us. The nearby Tedder Street has really good cafes and restaurants and is a really nice area, more suited to older people. When we went out to Surfers Paradise we saw more of the nightlife and partying that the area is famous for. We felt lucky that we had found a well-maintained resort in a quiet area that was still central enough to access everywhere. I would be happy to recommend Ocean Sands Resort if you are looking for a friendly, quiet and relaxing place.

  Lots of positives

  Excellent location off Gold Coast highway. Next to Tedder where there are boutiques and restaurants galore. Allocated car parking spaces. Reception was very helpful, accommodated our early check in. Apartment a little dated, safe did not work. But all rest was excellent. Balcony provided an excellent view of broad water, and the yacht club etc, Can walk to seaworld, but Uber is widely available. Beach of course is magnificent.

  Quality Building

  We stayed here with 5 children. It was excellent and I would stay again. The managers are very helpful. It is right on Tedder Ave which is very boutique. The location is close to the Seaworld too. We also stayed at Seaworld and Mermaid Beach and this exceeded our expectations.
