  Thank you team !! Stayed in a 1 bedroom riverview apartment for 7 days. Cleanliness was great. Nothing to complain about at all. Covid instructions was adhered to very well. Well maintained for an aging building. Myself, family and friends will definitely be back. Great value.

  Great Location, Great Price and Spectacular Views.

  Here's a hotel for those who miss the city life. Oakwood Hotel is conveniently located up on the hill from Howard Smith Wharf and minutes from the Valley and City. Surrounded by numerous restaurants, cafes and bars, you will not be bored staying here. My partner and I enjoyed one night at Oakwood Hotel and for the price we paid we were amazed with our room. We were located on the 8th floor (just under the top floor) at the very end closest to the Story Bridge. For an older building the rooms were well maintained and clean. Our room (1 bedroom apartment with city view) had a wrap around balcony, small study nook and views of the gorgeous city from every window. Waking up to the shimmering city and also being able to watch the warm sunset disappear behind the buildings was a highlight of our stay. The busy noises, the bright city lights and buzzing night life really made us miss living in the city. The staff of the hotel were very welcoming from the moment we stepped in. A big thank you for the lovely stay we will most certainly be returning again x Tips and recommendation: - Carpark is a little pricey but it is worth it. Your car will be in undercover and also secured. MAX height 2.1m - Hire a City Scooter to ride along the river board walk. - Check out the night life of Howard Smith Wharf. Make sure to book in advance for Restaurants as most will be busy. - If you are after a quick meal and dessert Bettys Burgers is the place to go. - If you can't stand the noise of traffic, suggest to stay on the opposite side away from the Story Bridge.

  Valentines Stay

  My husband and I stayed here for our Valentines getaway. 1 night away in the studio room with riverview. The room itself was very spacious, also had a hot tub and the view was absolutely stunning. The bed however was pretty uncomfortable and hard, and the light in the morning through the curtains was bright so couldnt enjoy a sleep in. The price of the room was very affordable however $35 a night for parking is not great at all. Should be included in the room, or a lot cheaper then that. The other downside was we had arranged for a massage to be done at the hotel. The hotel was not very accommodating to this and couldnt provide on site parking.

  Brisbanes Fawlty Towers!

  Had pre booked two one-bedroom riverview apartments weeks before arriving on the 20th Feb only find both were on the lowest level possible. It was extremely hot in both apartments and the air conditioning only worked in one! Someone came to fix in the afternoon but when we arrived back from dinner after 8pm it still was not working. No one would answer the phone so we all had to pile into one apartment to sleep. When reported to the front desk in the morning of the 21st we were told that someone would contact us on Monday to resolve the issue. One week later and still no call. Very disappointed!

  Wonderful stay, amazing value for money and stunning view and location!

  First time booking a hotel (18, M) for me and my partner, the value for money was amazing and the view was stunning. Got the city escape package which was worth its weight in gold (even though at the time of booking it was cheaper than normal room rates anyway, score) and Oakwood even provided us with a free room upgrade from river studio to river one-bedroom, assumably from the hotel being quiet for that time of year (Early 2021). Reason for stay was to celebrate Valentines Day with my partner and to go nightclubbing without having to worry about drinking and driving as the hotel is conveniently located super close to all the clubs in Fortitude Valley, and it is also close enough to get to Queen Street Mall and even not too much of a stretch to get to the Wheel of Brisbane (one of our stops during the stay) all by foot! I would definitely stay again as the breakfast was delicious, the view was stunning (Im from interstate) and overall was clean, comfy, enjoyable and very well priced... Amazing job Oakwood and thanks to all your staff from the desk crew to the lovely cleaning lady at the time, greatly appreciated for such a great stay!
