  Location.....

  This property is in a great location: close to metro, markets and small restaurant row. Coffee machine near staff office gives a variety of caffeine (free!). BofA directly across street. Whole Foods has everything but underground market also has hot food offerings. Restaurant row has more than a half dozen decent places to eat and is a 10-15 minute walk from property. Accomodations have all you need for an extended stay and is comfortable. Only problem encountered was the sofa having BO from someone's previous stay (#205). One quirk: bathroom light switch/fans are outside the bathroom itself!!! ODD.

  Some good & some not so good.

  The Good: Reception staff were helpful and professional. Room 102 - 2 bedroom apartment size was large. Great layout. Location was very good. The connecting underground mall to trains, Restaurants & Cafe's, or other Hotels was excellent. Kitchen well stocked with utensils and coffee pot. Close to Airport. The not so good: Laundry door broken. Main bedroom TV won't turn off. Showers very bad - no water pressure. 2nd bedroom had very limited clothes storage - large wardrobe for hanging but only 2 small bedside drawers. 2nd bedroom - Bed very uncomfortable for 2 - husband slept on the lounge every night. Overall I can only give a rating of 2 stars due to dreadful showers, uncomfortable beds and very limited drawers in 2nd bedroom.

  Amazing experience!

  I cannot say enough good things about our stay at the Oakwood Crystal City. From parking to check in to the Crystal City metro stop, everything was convenient and easy. Our apartment was super clean, well-stocked, and had amazing views. Everyone we met was nice and helpful. I appreciated them having a life guard on duty at the pool. The underground mall on the way to the metro stop and not having to go outside to get to the metro stop were both a bonus. We will only stay here on future trips to DC.

  Great location for a reasonable price

  After looking at places in DC we settled on this and were really happy how it turned out. Apartment was spacious and the location was great for getting to the Metro and going into DC and back. Shops close by for food and the other things needed for a stay. Would stay there again if we go back

  Good location but unpleasant room

  We choose this hotel for the location, walking distance to restaurants and shops and also close to Arlington National Cemetery. But we were disappointed with the room. Looked nothing like the pictures--furniture looked like it came from Big Lots, windows were very drafty and allowed street noise, and both bedrooms had poor mattresses and pillows. Additionally, we reported that our WiFi router had the wrong password on it 3 times during our 4 day stay and this was never remedied so we had no WiFi. Definitely would not go back.
