  Great apartment for 2 couples

  We booked a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment to stay with another couple, not cheap but the room was spacious had everything we needed and a nice size balcony. The bedroom facing the road was rather noisy until quite late (Saturday evening). We secured a good price ($10) for carparking by contacting the hotel in advance, I'd recommend doing this. Only a short stroll to Jetty Road or the Marina for restaurants and cafes.

  Unprofessional Reception staff

  When we checked in at the end of February, the Reception staff S1 advised that we have to pay the full price of $169. We told him we had booked in early January, and we were advised that our $100 Great State Voucher had been accepted and we only needed to pay the balance of $69. The booking had apparently no record of this and the Reception staff had to confer with his Manager. Once allocated an apartment we could not get to our suite level in the lift, not knowing there are 3 towers and our room was in the Central Tower and our apartment was served by a different bank of lifts. We could not get the free wi-fi, as Reception had not provided us with the specific access code. (The specific code was given by the afternoon Reception staff Matthew, who also answered our call about the car parking fee a day earlier.) At checkout the following morning, a new Reception staff S2 advised our account was finalized, they would charge the pre-submitted credit card, and you are good to go." When we asked for our account, we were told that the room rate was $119 plus the $20 agreed car parking fee. Again we had to argue that the room rate should only be $69. Surprisingly the morning Reception advised the Oaks Liberty Suites Glenelg is considered as REGIONAL Hotel and only a $50 Great State Region Voucher could apply, despite them having already accepted our $100 Great State City Voucher. In the end, the account was adjusted to the correct $89 balance. Had we accepted the verbal you are good to go offer and left without checking, we would have been $50.00 out of pocket. Definitely pays to check the account. * * * Other than that, the suite itself was spacious, comfortable, clean, and well equipped, which made it a pleasant stay.

  Short Staycation

  Great location close to jetty road with restaurants/bars/coffee shops and great shopping. The pool/spa/gym/sauna area is great except you have to get a key from reception everytime you want to use the area which is a pain if you are in a different lift tower to reception. Rooms are a little dated but overall it had everything we could need for a short or long stay. View was amazing at night and loved sitting on the balcony. Overall a great place to base yourself in Glenelg.

  My stay at Oaks Towers Glenelg

  I chose to use my great state travel voucher at your apartments and would like to express my disappointment and disgust at the state of the room I was given. Place looked quite good upon entry but thick dust on air ducts, mould in the shower, stained carpets, broken cupboards, no light globe on bedside lamp, no plug for kitchen sink is not what I was expecting nor did I expect to have my husband need to fix the TV and all the electrical plugs it was attached to. I have attached some photos that I took and hope for your sake the health department doesnt decide to do a spot check on you! I will not be recommending you to any of my friends or family like I had thought I might but instead I will be warning them not to stay with you. I am deeply disappointed that I wasted my voucher on the oaks towers.

  Golf trip

  Excellent rooms and very clean and tidy. Great location, easy walking distance to all Glenelg restaurants, attractions and tram. Large enough for 4 without any issue and excellent balconies and views.
