  Beautiful Home

  We had a lovely one nite stay at Oak Lane Lodge, with a great breakfast, with very friendly hosts. My only thing was I like a queen size bed, and a double bed for me is too small for two people when you are use to queen. But apart from the bed the house was beautiful along with gardens and pool.   Wonderful Stay, Wonderful Hosts

  Spent just one night at this beautiful property and wished it could have been much longer! Although I arrived early, and Cath and Alan were going to be out, they easily made arrangements for me to access my room so I could freshen up prior to going out to a function. I was upgraded to the restful Kaka king room with a view out across the gardens, an enormous bathroom and a dressing room with an extra single bed - luxury indeed. Had a good nights sleep in the comfortable bed and although the temperature was frosty outside the room was warm and open to the sun in the morning. Cath and Alan were very friendly hosts and we had an interesting conversation over breakfast - and I went home with some delicious home made marmalade too! Would definitely stay here again next time I am in the area - hopefully for more than one night next time.

  Most hospitable hosts ever!

  My three night stay at Oak Lane Lodge was the most pleasant, comfortable and enjoyable time I have ever had while working. Breakfasts were fantastic, a lot of home made products which you can also buy. Kath and Allan were great hosts, very artistic and creative people along with wonderful personalities. If I had the opportunity to go again I would not hesitate. Memorable stay, lovely birdsong in the mornings to wake you up! Marama McKenna

  Peaceful & Private!

  Amazing place to stay if you're after peaceful & private accommodation. Delicious breakfast & dinners were provided by the amazing Sue and we were able to enjoy them next to the cozy fire. She was also very flexible with our stay - perfect for special requests. Surrounded by magnificent gardens and farmlands. Very close to Morrinsville and a 25 min drive from Hamilton. There was plenty for us to do such as lounging near the swimming pool. enjoying a relaxing bath, visiting the aviaries, picking our own fresh fruit, playing a big game of chess & enjoying a hot relaxing bath to name a few. I would highly recommend to all!

  Generous hosts, beautiful food, lovely grounds!

  Our hosts were so easy to talk to and very generous with their time and attention. Sue made every effort to ensure our stay here over a long weekend was as perfect as could be, really catering to our every need and any scheduling mishaps. Her breakfasts were better than some weve had at high end hotels with fresh, local ingredients, the generous portions presented beautifully and to our different dietary needs. We are disappointed we didnt take the opportunity to book dinner here. The grounds were beautifully maintained and the sculptures made our morning stroll interesting. The Christmas decorations around the house and pool area made our stay a touch more magical. It was a real pleasure to experience a glimpse of what life on this historical property must have been like. Wed love to revisit with a bunch of friends and spend more time on the property!
