  Wedding vow renewal reception

  This place is amazing went above and beyond to make our day special. Our wedding vow renewal reception. Food and presentation were totally amazing. Staff couldnt do enough. The honeymoon suite and breakfast were second to none. For anyone wanting to book a special occasion this is the place to come. Alex Dan and staff just keep doing what your doing.   Valentines

  Went to oak farm for valentines ,booked room for night .When got to room bottle of prosecco box of chocolates waiting for us.Put bags in room went down to bar sat had drinks in front of roaring fire ,while raining and windy outside .Back to room to change .Then came down and had beautiful 3 course meal in lovely setting .Couple of drinks in bar before bed Then down to breakfast .All for £149 what a great romantic night well done to all staff ,back again next year

  Overall ok

  We stayed here recently for one night. Check in was quick, I had pre-booked and prepaid. A bit nostalgic to be still given a proper door key and not the usual swipe card entry. so remember to look the room and not just let the door swing shut. The room seemed the furthest from reception along some narrow passages but once there, very quiet. The room was somewhat old fashioned with dated furniture but reasonably fresh painted and very clean. The Bathroom was also spotless even though the tiling and lyno floor was quite dated. The shower over the bath was hot and powerful. Would have liked to open the window overnight but there was no way of securing the window and as the room was on the ground floor at the back of the property it was not an option. There was a considerable amount of noise from heating/water pipes expanding and retracting during the night which did disturb my sleep. The location of this place is not the most inspiring as its alongside the A5 but very secure with gates and powerful car park lighting and they do make it as attractive as possible and all the grounds we saw were absolutely clean, tidy and free of litter. We had a couple of drinks in the bar before going out and breakfast was fine, with cereal, juice and full english on offer. For an overnight stay this place is absolutely perfect and value for money.

  Our wedding day 19/09/2020

  We had the best wedding day ever! The hotel is amazing, the staff were amazing, venue Creations who decorated the room did a fabulous job. Everyone went above and beyond to ensure we had the perfect day. From the moment I arrived to get ready the staff made me feel very welcome. The rooms I had to get ready in were great with plenty of tea and coffee. They helped make the day get off to a great start. The ceremony was wonderful and the room was just stunning. The staff ensured I was ready to go and directed me and my bridal party through to the ceremony. After the ceremony we had photos out the front (amazing, garden freshly mowed and bushes nicely kept). We used the venues regular photographer, Neil, who was Brill, not keeping us to long but new all the best spots for the perfect shots! All our guests were enjoying canapés in the back garden area whilst they waited for us to arrive. The wedding breakfast.... I honestly can't praise it enough, the food was endless, so much and cooked beautifully (the chicken was melt in your mouth amazing). Then onto the evening which was great. We used the app to order drinks so people didn't even need to go up to the bar. No delays in drinks being served. The in house dj was great playing anything you want. It truly was the best day of our lives and Oak Farm helped make sure it was perfect. Nothing was to much for them. All the guests stayed overnight and the rooms were lovely and spacious. And the full English breakfast the following day was delicious. 100% recommend Obviously due to the current times we had a covid secure wedding. All the right measures were in place but the way they handled it was so good you didn't feel like it overshadowed the day at all. Only having 30 guests there provided an intimacy which made the day even more special.

  Wedding Reception

  On behalf of myself and my now wife, we would like to express our thanks to Alex , Dan and the rest of the Oak Farm staff for all their hard work and for making our wedding day as memorable as it was. The hotel was a perfect venue for us, kept very clean and tidy both inside the hotel and outside in the grounds. The food was lovely, and the reception rooms nicely decorated. We can see why so many people book their weddings at this venue. A well run wedding venue that meant we thoroughly enjoyed our wedding day, even in the face of the current covid19 regs. Very pleased that we chose Oak Farm hotel for our special day!! P and G.
