A relaxing place to enjoy the beautiful environmentThis park backs onto the creek and had easy access to the beach. It was a great place for the kids to enjoy the natural environment and the local wildlife. Lots of bandicoots and many types of local birds in the area. We stayed in a Creekside Villa and it was a great spot to enjoy a BBQ and meal outside overlooking the creek. Very comfortable. Lovely, knowledgeable hosts.

How rudeWe called in to check out the park facilities and prices and after approaching a staff member for info were met with an extremely nasty man (employee/manager??) who very rudely told us we had no right to be there as we were not paying guests, asked how we got into the park and where we had parked!!!! He then asked if we had registered (no signage anywhere telling us to do so). Im assuming he meant for COVID but who knows!!! We gather from his unfriendly comments that no paying campers are allowed visitors which is downright ridiculous. We definitely wont be staying there after that disgusting treatment and I hope the owners of the park see this review and train their staff accordingly in customer service.

Rude staffI have stayed at this park a half dozen times in the last 10 years. My last last 3 stays have been very disappointing. The staff have been less than receptive to quite rude. One group I was with had parked on their small roundabout due to the lack of parking and were quickly told off as if they were holding up other vehicles, the park was almost completely empty at the time and they were only going to be in that spot for a few minutes but the elderly man wasnt having it and forced them to move immediately, quite rudely. During my last visit, it was quite hot and one of our party went to use the facilities and left his car running to cool it down, the same older man came over and rudely told him it was not appropriate. On one stay when I was in a tent, on my motorcycle trip, it was cold and raining. We went to use the clubhouse to get out of the weather and as we approached we were told it closes at 8pm (which was when we were heading over). When we explained it was cold and wet and we wanted some refuge we were rudely informed that the staff had lives and couldnt stay up all evening waiting to lock the building. When we asked why this secure park needed to lock the clubhouse we were told there were criminals around who would steal the vending machine. So we stay outside in the cold and went to bed early. The clubhouse is also not air-conditioned and on the 30° plus days it was not habitable. Our group has all agreed that our future annual trip will stop at Port Fairy in the future.

We dont have those facilitiesIf you have a young family, this isnt the place for you. After a hot sweaty day, we wanted to follow our normal bedtime routine for our 17 month old who had been cranky all day from the heat. This involves giving him a bath and then some quiet time. After not being able to find any family bathroom, we decided to use the laundry which had a decent sized sink. After sanitising the sink and filling it up, the man that works there (or is the manager) came in and rudely advised this isnt the place to be bathing a baby. So we politely asked where we could and the response was in the shower like everyone else. We dont have those facilities here By this point, my wife and I were both shocked with the tone this man had so my wife took our son into the shower which turned his quiet time into screams. Theres ways of going about things and this wasnt the way. Whilst we sanitised the sink plus we were planning to after, if theres a policy in place, then fair enough but dont be so rude and arrogant to your guests. It seems we werent the only ones who had a negative encounter with this person as the groups we were travelling all had an incident with the same person. As regular travellers that have stayed at many places we think Port Campbell is a lovely place and we met lots of lovely people in the area but unfortunately we wont be coming back. For anyone looking for a family catered place to stay, head to Marengo Holiday Park at Apollo Bay or just go to Port Fairy.

GetawayHubby and I stayed here for two nights. We had a lovely big site (D27) which had fake grass underfoot when steeping out of your van. Amenities were clean and tidy. Walking distance to everything. If I had a fault it would be that when walking home from the pub it was very dark in the camp grounds, so maybe a bit of lighting scattered around would be good. But overall a great stay.
