  Wonderful Stay @ Novotel City

  We stayed @ Novotel City for only a night with a late 5pm check out the next day, but what we can tell so far from our short stay was that Novotel really takes its health and safety concerns towards its guests very seriously! We were very happy about that, especially during the time of a pandemic. Staff were constantly wearing masks and gloves, regardless of receptionist, or restaurant serves. Tables and credit card machines were constantly sanitized and there were hand sanitizers and labels everywhere to make sure guests are reminded of social distancing and sanitizing. Staff were helpful and pleasant and we also had the pleasure of bumping into the GM of Novotel Ms Iona, such a lovely lady who always made sure her guests were happy. We also loved the fact that this hotel has a very larger outdoor terrace, a major selling point of the hotel. Extremely dog friendly too as we came with our little poodle; drinking stations and a doggy area was clear to see. Our little boy loved the huge terrace! This was one of the main reason as to why we choose to stay in Novotel, because they are extremely pet friendly. Now, the reasons as to why I gave this (4) and not (5) stars. Maybe it was just our bad luck, I'm not too sure but: 1) There was a used towel hanging in our bathroom when we checked in. We passed it to the cleaning lady and she apologized kindly for the mistake which we appreciated. 2) There were no cups provided in the room upon check in. My husband had to go to the reception to request for them, and they sent him to the kitchen and then from the kitchen back again to the reception so that was an extremely unpleasant experience. 3) There were NO tea or coffee bags AND complimentary water bottles available as well. As far as we read on the Accor website and booking.com, these would be provided. Again, we had to go to the reception to request for these items when we noticed them missing. 4) There were also not a single toiletry provided in the bathroom. No shampoo, or body wash to be seen. We had to request this from the reception too. Though everything else about the hotel and staff were great but these little things were a great annoyance. Especially after paying for such a price for a night's stay. We sincerely hope that these things can be improved on as we would really genuinely love to come back in the future with our little dog, seeing as how pleasant and nice this hotel actually is.

  Two stays - two sides

  We've stayed there on Monday 27.07.2020 for the first time and we're enchanted. Great room and great service as well. For me this place is (was?) much nicer that Novotel/Ibis near Powstaców lskich street. We're so happy about it, that we decided to stay there few days later, on Thursday 30.07, instead of looking for another hotel. And I really like to check some new hotel ;) This time price was higher, but well, that's normal it's depends on occupancy. I even asked for the same room, 234. Unfortunately we got room 148. It turned out that this room wasn't change according to Accor's N'Room project old style bathroom with bathtub instead shower, different details, no coffee machine etc. And crème de la crème view on the ...wall. In my opinion it was room with lower standard and it's misleading for customer that those both rooms are named Superior Room. Pity, because my enthusiasm after first stay is gone.

  Great venue

  The hotel is situated approximately 10 minutes from Wroclaw airport and is an easy taxi ride. The interior is very modern, light and spacious and has a busy, friendly atmosphere. English is spoken by the majority of the staff and everyone was very friendly and willing to help. During our groups visit COVID measures were being fully enforced and the hotel is fully prepared and compliant with cleaning routines and personal distancing measures. Food is available in the cafe area and is reasonably priced but there is lots to do in the city centre which is a 4 km walk or taxi ride away. If you are a business user the conference facilities were also very good with a good selection of refreshments served all through the day. WiFi is free and there is a very good connection throughout the hotel and public areas. Overall the visit was very good and is highly recommended.

  The best hotel in Wroclaw!

  This hotel is just excellent. Every little thing was perfect during our stay. We never experienced such kindness from the staff in any place we visited. The location is great - it's quiet, the garden is amazing. If I have to sum it up on one sentence - if You're planning a stay in Wroclaw, there's no better choice than Novotel Wroclaw City.

  disapointment

  We have arrived at the hotel after a long journey, cold, hungry, and tired. I have researched the hotels prior to our journey and found that Novotel accepts dogs and is highly recommended among the reviewers. It's above my words to explain how disappointed we were with a very cold greeting we received from the lady in her 50's who worked at the reception on the evening of 30th of November. We have arrived with a Spanish plate car and she was dealing with my partner like he would be a walking virus. There was a new law implemented in Poland where they can only accommodate visitors who are staying for a business trip. Fair enough but the way and unhelpfulness of the lady receptionist was shocking in such a well-known hotel and brand. Needless to say, we left without any advice and with 0 customer service received and we will never be back.
