  Attached Metro (MRT) & Great Room

  Its our 1st time to Suzhou and we took bullet train and down at Suzhou Industrial Park. From station took 10-15 mins only to hotel. Novotel just attached with Metro MRT station, its very good for travelling. And their room just great, its clean, no smoking and cool. It also very spacious comparing to other Mercure wed been. It also just opposite Suzhou International Exhibition Centre. They aso set up romantic theme in our room as we on honeymoon trip. Very recommended.

  Great place!

  Loved this hotel as a weekend getaway. Enjoyed the view, comfy bed and all the sites nearby. Found a great german bierhaus with a stunning outside patio and beautiful view of the lake with authentic german food! My trip was in 2017/2018. Visited the hotel on at least 2 occasions- enjoyed my stays very much. Professional staff, no problems with check in or checkout.

  Visiting in Suzhou

  Overall Hotel is recommended especially for location, cleanliness and quality of service. MRT station entrance is just next to hotel and many places to eat at the lakeside just 200m opposite the hotel.

  Noone checks the customer emails

  Did a booking for 5th of June and sent an email to the hotel beforehand via the email address stated on Accor website and my booking confirmation (h9442-re1), asking questions about our stay. However, I never received a reply, until now. It is unfortunately a common sight that Accor hotels in China do not surveille their email accounts that are stated on Accor website, but use other local provider's email addresses. (i.e. I never received answers from Novotel Moganshan, Fairmont Yangcheng Lake, etc.). Only in Shanghai the hotels check. Given that the Novotel wants to act as a high end address in Suzhou, it is unacceptable that they do not want to engage with customers via official communication channels and just ignore all inquiries. I cancelled the stay due to this unpleasant experience.

  Great!

  I enjoyed two nights at Novotel in Suzhou. The breakfast is fantastic and the hotel is modern and very well looked after. The staff can speak English. The metro is next door and a short trip into the older part of the city on the same line, very easy! You can walk to get to the city center for dinner and can experience the beautiful Jinjihu Lake at night. I didnt have enough time to explore everything I wanted to, so Ill definitely be back!
