  good standard hotel, evening meals of a poor standard and evening staff rude

  stayed here 8th to the 11th december with shearings coach holiday, the room was clean and the breakfast was to a good standard and the staff in the morning were polite and friendly, the room we stayed in was clean and comfortable,but the evening meals were very poor and most of our group could not eat the second evening meal it consisted of instant mash/potato patty in a strange sauce and a runny unbaked vegetable cheesy thing, it was disgusting, rude bar staff 4 staff serving and ignoring customers waiting to be served, i can understand a bit of french and the staff were talking about the shearings clientele and being openly rude, the bar prices expensive if you are from the uk do not expect good service, i do not think the staff realise that customers from other countries help keeping them in a job.

  Good budget hotel

  We stayed here on our way to Switzerland and on our return a week later. Its typical Novotel and has all the basic requirements for a short stay. Its a big campus so expect some long corridors but the room was well-designed (separate toilet and bathroom), clean and comfortable with a lovely hot shower. In the morning we found that the lights did not work but managed by turning on the TV to give some light. There is a kettle in the room to make your own beverages. Buffet breakfast was excellent for this class of hotel, and the staff efficient at clearing the tables. On our return stay the corridor was cold and my room cool with no heating but the cosy bed with a good duvet gave me a good nights sleep. This room (306) was close to my earlier one so there must be a problem with power to this wing. Otherwise, clean and comfortable and as expected from a Novotel.

  Average experience

  Very Comfortable room but the staff were not overly friendly and the breakfast was probably the worst I have had for many years in any establishment. On the plus side there is plenty of space outside in the gardens to walk your dog and the room was comfortable.

  Ok for Overnight stay

  We stayed, a family, parents and two kids in a room. We arrived at 23pm (told them before coming) and I was a bit disappointed to see that the sofa bed was still closed and not made up. They told us just to open the sofa. But actually it's the first time after a lot of stays at Accor group that it was not ready. We did have a very good night sleep because with slept with open windows, smell in room was not nice.My daughters bed blanket was full of holes. The smell in the hotel and rooms is also not nice, it might help to freshen up the place, and open some windows now and then. Overall is is ok for a one night stay I think, breakfast was very ok. The parking is also very convenient and the staff in the hotel is very friendly.

  Good stopover for one night

  Stayed here for one night stopover on our way to Italy with Shearings. Arrived fairly late and no meal was included so we just had breakfast here which was adequate and very well done as a buffet arrangement. Room very nice clean and all we needed was in room. Staff we saw were very nice.
