Great Pictures, rooms small and tiredLike pretty much everyone that stayed in the hotel not he night we were there, we were transients, driving from the UK to the Alps. We booked the hotel as somewhere to get our heads down after a long day in the car. Traffic was a shocker, so we arrived later than planned. Bar was just shutting and the restaurant had already closed. No matter, we had food with us, so we didn't go hungry. The reception and bar areas are modern and have obviously had a recent facelift. I wish I could say the same for the rooms. We booked a family room for two adults and two kids and actually got what would be a standard Double room with another bed in it. To make matters worse, the air-conditioning didn't work, so we basically slow-roasted for the night. Breakfast int he morning was bizarre. Families trying to get their food down and hit the road. But the breakfast stations were chaotic. You had to fry your own eggs on a hotplate that was spitting out hot oil and had no fan above it. There were no protective gloves or other implements. It struck me as a health and safety accident in the making. Positive is that you could fill your boots before hitting the road. Location is on the edge of an industrial estate, so do go their for the views. There are several hyper-markets close by to stock up on supplies. I also noticed several 'Cheaper' hotels near the supermarkets, so if you really fancy going low budget when driving to the Alps, it is possible!! Can't guarantee what you are going to get, and frankly I wouldn't as I kind of like my sleep, but, as I said, you can do an overnight stop without breaking the bank. Question is, would I stay again? Probably, but I would book two rooms rather than one.

Great ne Re-VampI have stayed at this hotel for the past 9 years and use it as a stop-over on our route from England to Samoens, France. The hotel has consistently provided an ideal stop over and allows us to break our otherwise long journey. The nes decor adds to the attraction of the hotel and the new bar layout allows a relaxing opportui=nity to relax in comfortable circumstances. I was however disappointed with the layout of the breakfast area . The cooked food area appears to be focussed in a corner area making long queues of guests waiting to access the food. The area was cramped and the food restricted to small bowls which were quickly emptied by guests but not refilled. Whilst several members of staff were clearing tables, there were long periods of time when no cooked food was available and no staff checking quantities. Placing the cooked food in larger trays in and area away from the corner would resolve the situation. I could see that other guests were annoyed but the lack of cooked food availabe. In fairness, it was a Saturday morning and there was an abundance of guests however, this should have been anticipated.

Not 4 star service - ok for one night maxHotel ok for one night but do NOT expect 4 star service Positive aspects: parking lot, close to the highway and 15min drive from center, room clean Negative aspects : all the rest Swimming pool: small and overcrowded as mentioned earlier- not covid friendly, do not trust the photo No lift Air conditioning broke down during heatwave, staff tried to avoid the problem by changing rooms, finally the maintenance guy fixed it Room: we were 2, why leave three beds? (Laziness?) also room small, entry door needs renovation Service: staff overwhelmed, long waiting line for check in and check out, housekeeper barged in without knocking Breakfast: low quality food, overcrowded, not covid-friendly In conclusion: ok for one night, but avoid long stay like us (we stayed 5 days)

Another Example of Excellent Customer ServiceOn Wednesday 2nd Sep 20, I along with a colleague departed Glasgow, Scotland, for an18 hour drive to the Novotel in Dijon, This was a stop of on our way to the South East of France. Having stopped at this hotel last December for two nights and being impressed at the time with the service, the accommodation and the restaurant/bar. We decided we would stay at the Novotel again. Around 0600 hrs on Thursday 3rd Sep 20, I contacted the Hotel by telephone to tell them we were arriving slightly earlier thab planned and if the room was ready could we check in early, which we would pay extra for. One of the staff Julie, who was very accommodating and professional, arranged for us to get an early check In (at no extra cost) and swiftly checked us in at 0700 hrs on our arrival. We then went straight to the room for a sleep and woke up around lunch time feeling refreshed. I then returned to the Reception area to thank Julie And make sure there was no additional costs as they were so accommodating. She said no problem. We then went out in the Local area for some lunch and returned to have a few refreshments by the pool, owing to the temperature being 23 degrees. About 7 o clock that evening we freshened up and went to the restaurant for our evening meal. Again the service was very high and the food was lovely. Carpaccio for starter and a beautiful tasty burger for our main. A few beers and off to bed. The following morning a lovely cooked breakfast with various other options, self service, eat as much as you like. We also met Alexandre, one of the staff who remembered us from our last visit. A very nice chap. During this trip we decided to stay on the Friday night also at short notice, Friday the 4th, we booked over the phone with Alexandre, who knew us from our last visit. I would like to give him a special mention as he is an exceptional member of staff. Finely polished. Excellent etiquette and outstanding customer service. He made sure that when we arrived late on the Friday Evening, everything was organised giving us a swift check in. I would recommend this hotel very highly for business or pleasure and I will be sure to stay again if I am passing. Secure parking also available on site and not to many eyebrows were raised when I had a shot of the piano in the bar area. Friendly, attentive, forward thinking staff and all round nice Hotel. Look forward to staying again.

Better and worseWith many trips to Italy, we have often stayed here. It is especially good in warmer months when our young children could swim in the pool , play table tennis, or just plat in the large area outside. It was refurbished last year. Admittedly the decor was becoming jaded. It is certainly fresher and the shower room was brilliant. However, the toilet was wonky as it was mounted on a crooked floor. The bed was too close to the wall and my wife bashed her head on the wall when she got up too quickly at night. The desk has been replaced by a wire-shelving arrangement that looks scrappy. As usual, the food is passable but a bit greasy and, our fault for eating it all, a bit too much. Must have starters and not mains next time. The staff, as always, are excellent. Lovely people.
