It's a dump !!!!We arrived at this hotel to find out that the quoted price over the phone was way lower than the price they wanted to charge us. When I disagreed the answers was: this is Inuvuk and if you don't like it go somewhere else. Since we had a dog with us there was no option to go somewhere else. The room was very dirty, had a very dirty broken window, no smoke alarm, no towels etc., a broken airco, a very noisy fridge, and the list goes on. The "continental breakfast" consisted of a couple of bags of bread, some jam and peanut butter and some cereal, coffee and tea and some juice and milk out of a dirty fridge. We told the management about the airco etc. but nothing was done. We got towels thought but cleaning during our three day stay was non existent. The outside grounds were also not kept clean, a zillion of sigaret buts and garbage. I don't know what orders the owners give the management but when the it is to make the most profit with the least amount of care, they for sure succeeded. They just don't care about their guests. We don't advise anybody to stay at this filthy place.

One of the worst hotelsThe condition the hotel was in was terrible, from a shower curtain rod held up by a wedged in piece of soap to missing 8x8 ceramic floor tiles, a lamp that came in 3 pieces, our room was not serviced daily to name a few issues. At check in they did not have the 2 bed room we booked a year ago. They did put us in 2 rooms, then we had to move midway through our stay. When we complained about it, we were told we could go to another hotel. When we questioned the lack of maid service in our room, we were told we should ask housekeeping why our room wasnt serviced. We had stayed in other hotel/ motels in NWT & Yukon & know to expect basic rooms. What we were disappointed in was the jack of basic maintenance & the poor attitude of management. I would NOT recommend this hotel. In the words of the hotel manager, feel free to go to another hotel.

Comfortable hotel in InuvikThe Nova Inn is a good combination of a price and decent quality. If you are looking for full service this isn't the place but for a clean and comfortable hotel it will do the job well. The breakfast buffet is on the basic side but if your needs are mimimal it will feed you. When we were there the ice machine was broken.

Perfectly fine for sleeping, folks this is Inuvik, not LANot the most up kept hotel, but must have been quite nice when it was built. Room was decent, clean and had all of the amenities. Bed was comfortable, sheets towels were clean. We had all of the amenities for making coffee in the room, accept the coffee maker. Upon request one was supplied promptly. Breakfast buffet was exactly as described "Continental", I know other hotels serve pancakes and eggs/sausages (love those), great to up the caliber, but this breakfast was a decent continental affair. I watched them vacuum and scrub the lobby floors the night before and the following morning there were lumps of dirt from careless folks not using the boot brushes outside. Must be extremely hard to keep nice when folks using the facility don't care. Yes, it could have been better, but given the location, and the varying types of clientele I felt it was as described. We were here for the travel experience and the amazing North, not bath bombs and spa treatment.
