  Superb in every way!

  We were here on a sad occasion following a funeral but Mark and his team did everything possible to make our experience as good as it could have been. The venue is really stunning. The garden room has an intimacy and warmth but was spacious enough to easily cater for our party within Covid regulations. All facilities were spotless and stylishly renovated. Renowned for their excellent food, we were not disappointed and vegetarian, vegan and gluten free diets were catered for with flair and imagination. I would wholeheartedly recommend this venue and restaurant.

  Family friendly hotel in a good location to explore Somerset

  We were looking for a mini-break with our children over the October half term holiday and were delighted with our experience at this hotel. We really appreciated the personal touch and were made to feel really welcome by all the staff. We stayed in the family room with our 2 small children (6 and 4) who both loved the experience! Nothing seemed too much trouble for the staff & the breakfasts were excellent. We found this a great (if random!) location for our short break. We enjoyed short walks into Ilchester for meals out and we were well placed to visit Wookie Hole and several of the National Trust properties that were within 30 minutes drive. Overall, highly recommended hotel experience and we hope to return one day.

  Lovely welcoming family-run hotel

  I needed accommodation for 4 weeks while on a course during Lockdown 2, and hit the jackpot with this hotel. Spacious, clean and comfortable rooms with all the facilities youd expect, lovely dining room, bar and communal TV lounge with plenty of space for social distancing, and quite spectacular views across the grounds at the back of the hotel. And the food! Amazing breakfasts and dinners, all cooked to order. If my course hadnt been so physically demanding Id have put on at least a stone! But what really made my stay so enjoyable was the welcome. Mark and the staff could not have been more accommodating; friendly, keen to make sure I had everything I needed, always happy to stop and chat, and just providing a warm, welcoming and relaxed place to come back to each evening. There were a significant number of regular business traveller returnees during my 4 weeks here which is testament to how well guests are looked after. I cant recommend this hotel any more highly. If youre in the area, stay in this hotel!

  Christmas Day Delight

  After what can only be described as a trying year Northover Manor made our Christmas!! A friendly greeting , amazing staff , superb food and just the best atmosphere. As someone who loves to be at home for Christmas am truly converted. Thankyou to all the team who worked Christmas to make our day so delightful.

  What a find!

  Finding a hotel that still greets you warmly on the telephone, answers emails and carries your bag to your room on arrival is a rare treat these days. Having to travel for work has been quite a chore as the chain hotels have been cold impersonal. Finding Northover Manor made my working day so much better. A main meal and breakfast served in the dining room and not having to take it to my room, bliss. Letting me overstay the following morning to take a meeting and giving me a quiet corner in the bar to do some work was above and beyond in my book. Plus of course a quiet comfy bedroom with lovely views of the garden and beyond. Well done to all the chatty friendly caring interested staff. You are a credit to the trade and fingers crossed you come out the other side.
