  Good Stay

  2 night stay for work and the hotel exactly what you'd ask for really. Room was spotless, comfy bed and a good shower. The staff were all very friendly, bar is reasonably priced and the unexpected bonus was that the lounge area has a nice fire to have a nightcap beside.

  Gorgeous food and great service.

  This is our favourite place to eat in Brechin and we are regulars. The menu is very wide and varied, so there's always a great choice of food at any time of day. And the service has improved massively since the change of ownership. The prices are very reasonable and we always find a space in the free car park around the back, which is a bonus. We'll be back soon!

  Christmas Day lunch

  Booked our Christmas Day meal in the Northern Hotels restaurant again this year, was looking forward to it very much as quite often have Sunday lunch there, well not only did they meet my expectations they exceeded them, what a fantastic meal we had, the food, service and atmosphere was exceptional, all four courses and with coffee and mince pies for just £45.00 each, then after a few drinks off home with not a pot to wash, well done The Northern, we will be booking again for next year.

  Try the apple crumble!!

  Have been three times over lockdown with my fussy family including my vegetarian daughter. The service and food were excellent xx We all highly recommend xx they have a special offer on in October if you quote 241 when you book your table your meals are half price xxx

  Phenomenal customer care

  After being stranded in the snow late at night on the A90, I had to have my car recovered and they took me to the Northern hotel. On arrival Sukki the manager opened up the hotel late at night for me during the pandemic. He ensured I had somewhere warm to stay, and had the room heated for my arrival. Sukki could not of been more helpful and friendly, he ensured I was safe and well looked after. He provided excellent customer service, great food and most of all gave me re-assurance I was ok after an awful experience on the road. I ended up having to stay three nights until the roads were safe to drive on again, he shovelled deep snow from the car park, along with his lovely son, just so I could get my car back on the road. I couldnt be more grateful for his help taking care of me. Lovely hotel, lovely room, lovely food, and exceptional staff. Thankyou so much.
