  Good value for money

  We had to book a dorm room (shared between two people) for my partner and I because everything else was booked out for the Australia Day Long weekend. Reception was easy to find and we had a pleasant check in with a lovely lady. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The only downside to the room was that it didnt have aircon. The shared bathroom facilities were clean upon arrival and well stocked up with the necessary amenities: shampoo, conditioner, body wash, body lotion and soap. The hotel is located just a short walk from the beach and nearby restaurants and shops. Overall a great place and we will likely stay here again.

  Great Relaxing Week

  Stayed at North Pier for a week (Feb 1 to Feb 6). The hotel has been going through some renovations and the difference from last year is quite noticeable. The rooms were fresh, clean and comfortable. We stayed in the Ocean View Family Room which was across the road from the Ocean. The staff were brilliant. They were helpful and nothing was too hard for them. In particular, a shout out to Jake in the office who made our stay even better by providing us with a complementary Ocean View upgrade since the hotel was not busy. We did not try the restaurant but every time we walked past, the food look delicious. We did consider eating there but thought the prices were just a bit on the expensive side. The only downside at North Pier is the car park. Firstly, it is not big enough to accommodate all the guests. Furthermore, since the car park is not marked, guests were not parking properly so there were times when we would come back to find no parking spots. We also saw the worst of people when a guest parked his new Mercedes in the middle of two spots so that nobody could park close to his car. Very inconsiderate to say the least. So if I was to recommend an improvement to the owners/management of North Pier, it would be to do something about the car park. Otherwise, I whole heartedly recommend North Pier to anyone who would like a relaxing time away but remain a hop, skip and a jump away from the beach. See you next year.

  Below average

  Stayed here for 2 nights and paid over $200 a night for the bay view spa room. It was located right next to the restaurant and bar which meant there was constant noise from 12pm-12am...the thin walls didn't block out any of the noise, which meant we weren't able to get to sleep at night. There was no water pressure and the water would only get hot after about 10mins of running, and then it would either be boiling hot or freezing. The bath also drains itself as the plug isn't the right size. The air conditioner was good to have but wasn't powerful enough to cool of the small space. The lack of privacy is another issue, if you have the blinds up everyone from the restaurant/bar can see straight into the room. So then you have to put the blinds down and lose the view of the bay...which meant you're just in a dark room. There needs to be a privacy screen put up between the the room side and the restaurant to give guests privacy and a chance to enjoy the views they paid for. Also had a cricket come up from a gap in the wall in the bathroom which wasn't a nice sight to see, and made it feel dirty. When we checked out the staff at the reception didn't even ask how our stay was, they just took the key card back and that was it...not happy with the service. Wouldn't stay here again and wouldn't recommend any else to waste their money here. Much better places around to stay at.

  To attend a Friends Funeral

  Room was lovely & clean, comfortable beds, great hot water. A microwave would have been a good addition. But great value for money as was only an overnight stay. The Hotel food was good too. Located close to the beach, shopping strip & Cafe's etc

  Noisy

  Location cannot be faulted. Staff were great. Cleaners, friendly but you surely can't tell me that they didn't notice the huge squashed spider on the wall from presumably the previous guest. Noisy..... this place is a magnet for the Cowes drunks. Every night without fail there would be people yelling and carrying on right out the front. As this is situated next to the pub, surely they can be moved on by security so that us, the guests, can actually get some sleep. 3 nights with very minimal sleep. If you're after a hotel where you don't need the car then this is the place for you. If you're looking for a hotel where you'd like to relax at night after a busy day, look elsewhere. Sorry guys.
