Great hotel with really friendly staffWe have just returned from a 2 night stay in this lovely hotel in a great location on arundel high street. We arrived Monday afternoon and managed to park in hotel car park, as soon as I walked in the hotel I knew I would love it and it felt very COVID safe with plenty of anti bac and signs explaining things. The receptionist was lovely and explained everything then gave me my room key, we stayed in room 18 which we loved, it was very quirky with a massive 4 poster bed and great views , it was on the 3rd floor which was no problem for us. We had to pre order breakfast which was no issue and the breakfast was of a high quality. Cant thank all the staff enough for their hard work and friendliness which made a short break in these strange times perfect. We will definitely be returning ( hopefully to room 18)

All good.2 night stay in one of the lower floor court yard rooms which was clean and comfy. Rooms are warm but windows open which is nice if the heating is too warm! Nice hotel overall, we used it just as a base to see Arundel. Breakfast was good we didn't have dinner there we preferred to try the local restaurants close by. The hotel is all set up for distancing but its good to sit in the bar and laugh at other guests who decide to exit through the very clearly signed entrance and visa versa, the reason this current situation is here and won't ever go away is due to stupid people! ( ooh a bit controversial but hey!)

Very helpfulWe had a disaster with our travel zoo vouchers, the staff were excellent and very patient. The rooms were clean and fresh. The restaurant was set out for Covid safety. The meals were very good. the waiting staff were on the ball which was reassuring

Lovely Sunday LunchWe were out for a walk with the dog and hadn't planned to be out for lunch so had no booking, but they made room for us and the dog in the front dining area. We both had a pint of Sussex Gold and a Sunday roast. I had the Nut Roast which was excellent. Often nut roasts can be a bit dry and boring but this was yummy. Portions were not massive so if you prefer to pile your plate ridiculously high then you need to find a carvery somewhere. However, the food was delicious and the portion size was just enough without feeling uncomfortably full. Those roast potatoes were so good. The current covid situation makes everything hard as the spacing and formalities can mean that things feel a bit soulless. This is not the fault of our pubs and restaurants and they are working hard to give us the best experience possible under the circumstances. Well done everyone.

It was okThe staff were very confused and did not communicate with each other. We were told to sit in one place and someone would serve us and then we moved again as we then found no one was serving where we were. The room, if you have room 15 you should ask if the shower has been fixed. We had to turn the shower on and off to stop being scolded by the boiling water. The room layout could be better, in the room we stayed, there was a dressing table with a chair. We had to move the chair as getting to the bathroom was quite difficult. The toilet is very loud and the walls are thin but I am guessing this is due to it being an old building. We found the evening staff a little more knowledgeable. However, my partner has a very rude lady serve him when he went to get a drink. It's a shame as our stay was great as went out for walks and had a look around the area. The stay put a bit of a downer on the trip and I don't think this was due to the current situation we are all in.
