  Wonderful food, great service

  We are a family of five and this has been our fourth year to go back to Hotel Nordik The first year we discovered it, we thought it was definitely worth a second visit, and each year we find it more difficult to go anywhere else. Italy for us makes sense because it is cheaper than France and Austria for skiing . Because this hotel is family run there is a vested interested in quality of service, and we have always been made to feel very welcome, The food is one of the main reasons we return year after year and this year was no exception. An appetizer to start each meal followed by a self service salad buffet, followed by a pasta or soup course and then a meat course and finally a dessert course, A lot of the ingredients are locally sourced, as are the wines. We ate like kings every night with extra helpings of everything and breakast was also very substantial. If we had not been skiing we would have returned home with thicker waistlines. ! The rooms are quite basic in design, but impeccably clean and cosy.. I think the main part of the room would benefit with another mirror. An added bonus of the hotel is the wellness centre which for a 3 Star hotel is very impressive. Although the centre is small it is more than sufficient after a long day on the slopes to relax and ease aches and pains away. It has a Turkish steam room, sauna showers and a relaxation room. A short walk takes you to the ski hire shop run by the same family which is situated at the bottom of the ski slopes. all very convenient. The service in the shop is excellent, very efficient and any problems are dealt with very promptly and without any stress, The ski pass covers the three valleys of Santa Caterina, Bormio and Lovigno and includes free transport on the bus to these places. Details of bus times etc can be obtained at the hotel reception.. Conditions were excellent this year as we had a snowfall of 6 inches on the 2nd day and we look forward to returning next year

  Reasonable hotel spoilt by bad attitude

  Well placed for ski slopes - very clean, food acceptsble - poor soundproofing in rooms though luckily clientele not the type to keep late nights! Would have been a better review but for the rudeness of the barman who stopped midway through serving me to serve an American, presumably either in anticipation of a better tip or as a demonstration of contempt for a female solo traveller! Either way, the incident soured an otherwise pleasant stay!

  Perfect Friendly and Family run Hotel

  Stayed here for the week last year! Lovely family run hotel offering excellent food with very professional staff nothing was to much. The hotel is very clean and comfortable within a great location to the slopes and also to go out exploring the town. The hotel facilities are very good and the rooms are lovely highly recommended.

  good hotel

  very good hotel , in quite area of the village , 5 min walk from the center , good room and good restaurant .... have parking in two min from hotel . What i think is time to renew the bars and the area near reception

  What a great suprise!!!

  Had a Great time filming in Santa Caterina! The Hotel is supercool with a nice Bar an Chillout zone!!! Service was super friendly. I forgot my Kindle Reader, and they send it back to my home within 2 days! Thanks for that!!! Ill be there again for sure!!!
