  Friendly, welcoming, convenient for Hamburg, good value.

  I reviewed this hotel in August 2011 and it didn't disappoint on a second visit. The staff, without exception, were friendly and helpful, and it was no problem when our party of seven (three rooms) arrived over two hours earlier than the official 15.00hrs check-in time. We were given our keys and could settle in straight away, even though the beds weren't made yet - that was done a little later. All the rooms were clean, comfortable, equipped with cable TV and telephone, and had free WiFi. Our daughter and two of her children had room 20 on the ground floor with a beautiful big bathroom, and being at the rear of the building was fairly quiet, but it only had net curtains at the window so they were woken by daylight every morning! Her eldest daughter and boyfriend had a room on the ground floor with twin beds and a small bathroom. We had room 32 on the first floor at the front of the building, also with a small but quite adequate bathroom. This room directly overlooked the main road, so the traffic noise was considerable. As we were there during the heatwave in the middle of June, we had to have a window open so couldn't block out the noise, unfortunately. The breakfast buffet was excellent, with a good choice of sliced meat, cheese, rolls, bread, fruit, etc. and a selection of cold drinks, tea and coffee. The U-Bahn Norderstedt Mitte was a 15 minute walk away, from where the train went directly into central Hamburg. There were several restaurants, cafes and bars close to the hotel, and two good supermarkets, also a filling station close by. Overall, Hotel Nordic is well placed for visiting Hamburg.

  Very good hotel for an overnight stay on the way from south of Germany to Hirtshals Denmark

  Well kept and with tidy and very clean but relatively small rooms. Standard breakfast. Nice and quit hotel with friendly staff. Overflow parking at nearby Greek restaurant ( 50m walk). Slightly pricey.

  It's all right

  The hotel is quite small and simple. Run by greek staff, the place is ok for a single night, but nothing special. It is a bit difficult to get to, and it takes about 20 minutes to get to the highway towards Flensburg, even though it is not far from the highway itself. Breakfast was ok. We picked the hotel for a single night on our way through germany. I would probably not pick this hotel again because of its location.

  Very good transithotel, with great breakfast!

  After our visit in Danmark I was looping dit a hotel to staat for one night and found this hotel. It had a good offer. The reviews were mostly good, but some of them make is a little hesitate. The hotel was very good, we had a familyroom with had a twinbed and sleepingcouch. The pillow was a little soft (real feathers), but was good enough. The room has a very big bathroom, with separate shower (a cabin, no stick curtains!) and separate bath. We slept very well. It wasn't nodig (except some usual "hotelsounds"). The breakfast was very good and many choiches! A friendly lady helped us. The only thing were you can complain about at this hotel is the parkingplaces at private places, there is not much space when you are late, but... you can park avond the street. Problem solved :)

  An overnight hotel, north of Hamburg

  This hotel is a good overnight hotel for one or two nights in the northern part of Hamburg. It is small with small rooms, but everything is clean. The breakfast was a little bit poor but for the paid price OK. About 300 meters from the hotel you find restaurants where you can have dinner as the hotel itself doesnt offer that.
