    Stayed...

Stayed with a group of golfers for 3 nights in a cabin for $154 per night. Three ladies for 3 nights - one toilet roll! Need I say more? Our welcome was quite pleasant - cabin was fairly comfortable. Park could do with some tlc - some very skungy and rusty looking old caravans there that need to be removed.

    Feels like home

Arrived here in March just before the lockdown and we were really lucky that this is the campsite that we would be at for the next 10 weeks.. The reception staff were really lovely and I fell in love with the campsite Cat, Molly! The amenities were cleaned every day and nothing was too much trouble for everyone that worked there.. The staff here are very COVID aware and do everything they can to keep you and themselves safe! Not far from the site is a beach and is a really easy walk and you also have a bar next door that does food and drink.. You can get your basics from reception including milk and the all important ice cream and snacks! After calling this home for the last 2.5 months, I definitely wouldnt hesitate to book again if I was in the area.. It really has felt like home during this awful pandemic.. Thank you so much everyone at NHHP!

Dirty site, noisy neighbors, no social distancing

Our powered site was in full sun and very small for our camper, very bumpy it was hard getting the camper level and table/kitchen cupboard were wobbly. The worst thing about it was the full bag of rubbish we had to collect from the site before setting up, which included plastic bags, broken glass, chicken bones, etc. We had some very noisy neighbors that wouldnt stop the loud music till after 11pm; there was no security from the park coming round to get people to stop noises after 10pm. The amenities block was clean but very old and most times Id find a leaking tap because it was hard to close them. There wasnt much of social distancing, the park was full, we didnt even go to the pool because there were too many people there. We wont be going back to this park.

    Return

Came years ago with our van, and decided to come again with our motorhome.Great park, spacious, tidy and very quiet. The powered site we had was large enough for our motorhome & a towed car. Has a lovely swimming pool, and mutiple activities around the park for children. Park was well set up for Covid care. We had our bikes with us and cycling in the Nora Head area is great, Also good walk to see the wonderful coast line. Staff at reception very nice

A disappointment, years holidaying to Kiama, we decided to try somewhere different, this will be our 1st and last visit!

First thing I asked, when making the booking - how far to the beach, resonse: It is so so close, no more than a 5 minute walk as there is access straight to the beach. This was rubbish, the beach was a 15-20 minute walk, and because the pool was largely off limits (Covid) that only really left the beach as an option - and it was like a day trip. don't get me wrong, mu kids are 11 and 15 and it was stil a hike - so deinitely misrepresented these details. Second, arrived to find that there was a cement post and cement block dead smack in the middle of the annexe area (powered site). We had to put red tape onto the pole so that the kids didn't run into it or trip on them. This meant that we had to put the one table over these cement blocks and left us with no space to even eat our meals. Thirdly, it rained, which is fine - they can't control that - but there was no provision for water to be redirected to, so the annexe was ankle deep with water, as there was nowhere for it to run off to. So, in summary, a) Lied about the availability/distance of the beach b) Didn't inform us of the cement obstacles which were significant, and rendered our annexe as useless, and c) Our site had no water runoff, so were left in ankle deep water, with no where for the water to be diverted to, and d) Gave us no indication of any of these predicaments - just waited for us to arrive, when it was too late for us to make alternate plans. Finally, I did inform staff of the issues (which they had to have known about) and let them know that I would be writing an unhappy review - I have left this in the hope that I can prevent someone to save their money, or at least be aware of potential difficulties when staying here.
