    Best stay in Poland!

Loved every minute of our stay at this wonderful hunting lodge. Staff extremely competent and friendly. Gorgeous grounds and 150 year old lodge could not be beat anywhere. Food was especially good! On a beautiful lake where you can rent sailboats with a guide. Great price for a fun time!

Anything but average. I loved it.

It all depends on what you are looking for. This is not a chain hotel with all the mod-cons, it is a creaky wooden old Hunting Lodge built for Princess Daisy by her Polish husband. It is beautifully located on a lake in the middle of the woods surrounded by giant oak trees. Next door is a small sailing school and boat rental. The food is fabulous, but expensive by Polish standards. The service in the restaurant is outstanding. The reception desk personnel are a little less polished but equally as professional. The room we had ancient as might be expected. The bathroom had a serious step UP from the bedroom, which made closing it ( as it opened out from the bathroom) a bit of an acrobatic exercise. But I love quirky. There are few modern facilities..no gym, sauna etc. There is outdoor seating to enjoy a late morning cappuccino or an afternoon cocktail served from a saint little bar. The TURN OFF FROM THE MAIN ROAD IS EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO SPOT and rather dangerous to exit. Then you drive through the woods on what is basically wide enough for one car so drive carefully.

Lovely boutique hotel, showing off Polish history

I booked their couples stay package for my parents wedding anniversary, and they really enjoyed it. The said the food was great, and the hotel very nice. While this is not a modern hotel, no gym, pool etc, it has a lot of history and is very romantic.

out of the way - out of this world

We stayed here 3 nights and took a step back into 19th Century - this old hunting lodge still retains the charm (and many of the stuffed animals) from previous years. The staff - and there were many of them - could not have been more helpful, and the food was really a treat, not cheap but exceptionally good. My only small gripe was the extensive wine list priced us out so after the 1st night we stuck to beer which was very reasonably priced. Oh and by the way there's a glorious lake to walk around before a late afternoon mulled beer or wine.

What a great way to visit Poland!

My son is still talking about 'Princess Daisy's Hunting Lodge' three months later! This was such an amazing place to spend our first night in Poland. It was comfortable, friendly, and had more personality than a thousand regular hotels. We purchased a 'romantic' package, which included dinner. The food was good-to-excellent, in a excellent-to-amazing dining room. The rooms were comfortable and a little rustic. The grounds were beautiful. And the beer was excellent too. Email communication in advance was polite and accurate. Without a doubt our favorite hotel during our Polish vacation.
