  Fabulous guesthouse in George

  Great location, beautiful house. Warm welcome from Werner. Who could ask for more?? The guest house is beautifully furnished in French style with a lovely garden in which to relax. We stayed in the main house on the first floor with a balcony overlooking the front so we were able to sit out & enjoy the sunset. Breakfast was freshly cooked to order & served with a smile. This place is a gem and we will return.

  Home away from home

  Francois and Werner are incredible hosts. Our every need (and more) was taken care of in the most generous and gracious of manner. It truly felt like I was stepping back into 'home'. Thank you both for your care; it is truly appreciated.

  Wonderful place to stay and Francois was great

  We stayed here for 2 nights in February as part of our trip on the Garden Route. The house is beautiful and is an oasis of calm in a busy town. It is in a good location and is within easy walking distance of several restaurants. There are several rooms, all appear quite large. Our room was on the first floor and had lovely views of the garden with a big balcony and chairs. The room had a lovely comfortable bed, great decor, a desk and a comfy chair. The bathroom had a separate shower and a bath with lovely towels and toiletries. Just one small thing wrong was that there was only electrical socket that we could find near the bed and it was difficult to reach. But that was the only thing I could criticise. The public areas were beautifully appointed - lovely large rooms with fabulous paintings and other artifacts. There were quite a few paintings of famous women. There was a great lounge with a zebra rug, a conservatory, a breakfast room and a terrace outside in the garden. Breakfast was excellent, well presented, and the choices were good. The quality of the food was excellent. I would like to say a special thank you to Francois who was looking after the guest house when we stayed there. He was very efficient and welcoming. When we arrived I was not feeling very well and he was kind and concerned. I became more unwell during the evening and he was kind in providing me with lots of ice and was happy to help in any way. After about 24 hours I was feeling better and he commented about my extra colour. He was so lovely and friendly. I felt dreadful and felt bad that I wasnt up to being chatty or sociable when I arrived but he was really understanding. He did an excellent job I being the host in the absence of the regular manager. I would thoroughly recommend this guest house.

  Had a great stay, warm and welcome reception. Beautiful and clean with a good breakfast Room had everything needed to make my stay comfortable. Will definitely recommend and use them again. Thank you Werner.

  Beautiful Provencal styled guest house in the heart of George

  My wife and visited George in December of 2020 from Switzerland. We were drawn to the styling of the guest house when we searched online - and were pleased to find that the reality was even more lovely than the advertising. The home has been beautifully renovated and furnished with great taste and attention to detail. The owner was extremely hospitable and the breakfast was generous and of great quality. We hope to be back on our next visit to the beautiful Cape! 5 Star.
