Extremely nice place!Come here if you prefer something a bit different. Cosy corners all over this place! Located in a nice small town and it's so quiet! Harz area is all fun and beautyfull, especially if you like driving on twisty roads. Mekka for motorcyclists!

Worth a visitA lovely hotel with a great location right down to the lakeshore. There is great opportunity for mountain biking trails in the area, like the city Hanenklee is cozy and within walking distance - in addition to this is Harzen both exciting and great for families with children.

Honeymoon stayoverOn our way to Prague we decided for a 3 day relax and hike atop and this is the perfect place for it. Very clean and modern hotel with KIND staff with a Danish/ Scandinavian vibe since the owner are Danish and they have put a lot of danish design into the hotel. A spa for relax after hike or bike is perfect and the bar is perfect for relaxing in front of the fireplace.

Cute little placeFirst we had a very tiny room which would have been fine if the weather had been good enough to spend the day in the woods. The staff was able to upgrade us to a bigger room, so we had a nice weekend. Restaurant was closed at lunch and dinner time due to off season, but breakfast was nice and plentyful. Due to the off season a lot of the restaurants in town were also closed, but we found a place to eat, and just to get away from things for a weekend the trip was brilliant.

We were so frustrated with the staff and couldn't wait to leave. A shame as the hotel could be goodThe positive thing was that the room had a terrasse and everything in the room was OK. The view from the hotel (but not our room) is great. The bad: The wifi didn't work. I asked one employee and she said; "The wifi always works. If you can't get it to work, then YOU are doing something wrong" and then she left!!! Tried to talk to another staff member, but other than showing me the password, she couldn't / wouldn't help. The next morning it - as by a miracle - worked, without us doing anything. Talked to a 3rd employee (the manager?) when checking out, and he said that the staff doesn't know anything about the wifi, and showed me it worked. However, at the same time, the network to the credit card terminal stopped working... The trash can in the room smelled so badly from smoking/cigarettes I had to place it outside. Had to reserve a timeslot in the restaurant, even though it was almost empty (other hotels and restaurants in Germany simply asks you to fill out a form for Corona tracking purposes)... The room was very small.
