Breathtaking view at a far off resortYou can just relax in you room watching the wonderful Tsunoshima bridge...or sip a cup of coffee sitting in the lavish lounge...or enjoy the sumptuous Japanese dinner in the restaurant watching the unforgettable sunset....or can be a little out word to take the trip to Tsunoshima itself....you won't regret visiting this resort at the north west tip of Honshu island in Yamaguchi

Perfect location to explore Tsunashima IslandWe stayed here during our cycling tour of Nagato seaside area. Cycling from here along Tsunoshima bridge is fantastic. You can admire a beautiful view like a piece of landscape art from your room window. Also enjoy the sun set watching from outside hot spring.

Tsunoshima...Tsunoshima Big Bridge in Yamaguchi prefecture was a long time dream to visit and finally made it come true on 24 Nov. 2016. Those few years, we often visited Kamikouchi, Shinhodaka, Tateyama Kurobe Alpine route and Hakuba village where are located in the Japan's North Alps in Nagano and other prefectures. We are deeply impressed with the stunning beauty of the mountains and lakes. This time we decided to visit the large bridge where is very famous with its scenery. The best season to visit there should be in summer but we started finding a hotel nearby. Just a few minutes drive from the bridge, we found this hotel. Looking the weather forecast, we decided to visit on the 24th of November 2016. We requested a room where we can see the bridge from the room. You can choose dinner French or Japanese. We chose French dinner. After arriving the hotel, I enjoyed the "Rotemburo" (open-air bath) and had the French dinner. The scenery from the room was as beautiful as I expected. Our room was a Japanese style with very large and long window where you can see all the Tsunoshima bridge and the garden of the hotel. One thing I'm not satisfied with room was there was no way to control the temperature of the room. All I could do was the level of the fan speed. We joined the night bus tour to watch the starry heavens. This was a good service of the hotel. Breakfast was a buffet (self-service meal) style and they were all tasty. Working staff are all well trained and kind except very fast explanation of the facilities even though I understand they repeat it thousand times whenever they guide the customers to the room. When you visit the hotel, I'll recommend to walk around the garden by the beach. Anyway when you visit the bridge, this is the only hotel around the area with Rotemburo.

very nice outdoor onsenThe overall experience of this hotel was nice. The experience of the outdoor onsen was very nice as it faces the ocean. Fortunately, the ladies outdoor onsen had a roof when we went in the evening, as the weather was very wet (note that the male and female switch onsens, AM and PM). Probably because it was Spring, the swimming pool has not been filled. The western rooms were a little dated, but overall still clean. The only issue I had, was the building is very long (horizontally), so to walk from one end to another is quite a hike. And the signage to the onsen could be a little clearer. One of the signs I encounter showed that I had arrived at the onsen, but lead to the locked door.

Fantastic View, Onsen and Big Room with TatamiTThe resort has a big wall to wall window showing tsunoshima bridge, the view is breath taking. The resort has big room with Japanese tatami which is very confortable. It has separate bath and toilet. Its format is old Japanese style with keys. Onsen was its specialty in the lower floor. The bath room is style like onsen bathing also. Tatami was very comfortable. Breakfast is basically Japanese and was delicious.
