  Perfect for getting away from it all!

  First off, before i continue with my review, i should set in context what exactly we were looking for when we travelled to Koh Chang. We wanted to get away from all the tourist noise and have a bit of seclusion whilst still being a little bit pampered - the Nisa Cabana was perfect for this! Situated on the southern tip of the island at the end of the East Road near Bang Bao Beach it really is set in a beautiful location. Although it was low season (Sept.) and certain facilities in the hotel were not available (eg. bar and evening restaurant) this was in no way a problem. The hotel staff were more than happy to taxi us around in the luxury mini-bus to where ever we wanted to go and then pick us up at the end of the evening again. Although there is no direct access to a beach, the Ocean View huts are wonderfully modern and very tastefully decorated and feature a balcony with open bath on them. There was a skeleton staff on duty due to low season but they were all very friendly and extremely helpful whenever we needed something. I can imagine that when everything is up and running in high season, that the Nisa Cabana is even more luxurious. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this resort to couples looking to get away from everything for a bit of R-&-R.

  hotel yes, but definately not a resort.

  we booked this hotel for 8 nights and moved out after 4 because the hotel personal was not able to speak any word in English. You can hardly order food in their expencive restaurant. The is also no services in this hotel except their nice pool. There is no massage, no yoga, not possible for kayaking, no sea, the is a cliff acces, but it is very dagerous o swim there because of many stones. The personel tries hard to serve people, but they have no expierience and all they make can not meet the expectation of the resort. PS. Houses are clean and nice, wifi is free.

  Great resort on Koh Chang, Thailand

  Nisa Cabana is a great bungalow-style resort on the Island of Koh Chang in Thailand. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the whole area is very clean and nice. The hotel is situated not far from a small, charming fishing village. It is a bit outside the main "urban" parts of the Island, and so it`s perfect for relaxation and peace and quiet. The bungalows are great. Modern interiors with excellent beds and stylish bathrooms with both shower and bathtub. The resort has a jacuzzi and a two-level infinity pool with ocean views. The pool area is nestled in rainforest-like trees and plants wich gives it a great atmosphere. Not many bad things to say about this resort all in all, if you want to nit-pick, the bathtub took long to fill up due to low waterpressure in the pipes, and there is no great beach directly below the hotel (but not far from the resort, they rent out scooters), but as a whole, this resort had everything we wanted and more for our honeymoon. It`s the place to be if you want to have a nice, quiet and relaxing time away from the urban stress of the big cities.

  Thailand - Ko Cheng

  I've never been to Thailand but wanted to know what it would be like so we looked into what place would best suit us. The sort of place I do like is generally no children, very quiet, tranquil and beautiful to the naked eye. We flew with EVA Airlines which was suggested to us by our Travel Agent (Fleet Way Travel) because they have an agreement with Bancock Airlines to cover all transfers to our final Destination, Ko Cheng. We got to the airport only to advised by the EVA ground staff that they didn't cover transfers, so always make sure you leave enough time to catch your connecting flight. It's a flight from Bancock to Tret Airport and then taken by taxi to the ferry and from there to Ko-Cheng (45 mins). We arrived in Ko-Cheng at our final resort Nisa Cabana to find out our travel agent hadn't confirmed our booking so we didn't have a place to stay. Because of the problems in Bancock at the moment the resort was very quiet and we finally got all the confirmation for the hotel. So far we have found Thai people very polite and friendly, we've had a massage here which was amaising and so much cheaper than the UK. Food is wonderful and scenery is amaising. If you want a lovely place to stay which has lovely restaurants out on the pear and partying another night then this is the place for you. It pays to go walking down somw of the resorts because it was only when we did that that we found some amaising restaurants that cook the todays catch for you right there and then.

  Best Hotel In Koh Chang

  I booked Nisa Cabana having never visited Koh Chang and not really having an understanding of the geographical layout. I incredibly stumbled across Koh Changs hidden jewel. For the pricing and facilities on offer at the more upmarket hotels(amari emereld) Nisa Cabana offers a quiet understated luxuary. Admitedly I was there during the height of the conflict in Bangkok but for the first week we were completely the only guests there. Add to that Nisa's great location(if you are looking for peace and quiet) and incredibly sweet staff and you have a great 3 and a half star hotel without the hordes of tourists that swamp white sand beach . Nis is also just around the bend from bang boa which makes it a great choice for those who want to try the local cuisine. Saying that Nisa Cabana's restaurant is one of the best Thai restaurants on the island(try there chicken pineapple curry). Not ne for party animals or small children great for couples.
