  Nice stay.......

  Stayed for two nights at Nirundorn 3 in bungalow, 1000 baht for Friday but 1800 baht for Saturday, reflecting the number of local people travelling there from Bangkok for week-end stay. Very clean room with comfortable bed, and air conditioning, TV and fridge provided but no other facilities for making coffee. Bathroom ok, shower over bath, very little toiletries provided. Room was nice relaxing place be but no wardrobe to hang or store clothes. Nice pool and sunbathing area on elevated platform. Across the road to beach and central to all restaurants and bars. Took time to look at other accommodation whilst there and there are many on offer at similar standard for cheaper price, but happy with my 2 nights there.

  Nice Hotel with good rates

  In Cha Am we stayed at the Nirundorn Resort which is over the road from the beach. We paid 1000baht a night for their Deluxe beach front room with balcony and free wifi. This room was great for watching all the activities on the street and beach. The hotel is very popular with Thai's and they have a very interesting booking system, the reception desk is out on the footpath, so you just pull up alongside in your car and they show you a poster with photos of the various rooms. If you like them you then drive into their car park, pickup the keys and off you go. No passport, names etc. Our room was very modern with a lot of opening windows, big flat screen televisions, tea and coffee making facilities and a nice bathroom. We really liked it here but have to say the room was extremely noisy, you could hear every bike or car that went past. Anyway we ended up staying for 4 nights as we enjoyed Cha Am so much. There is also a 24 hour 7/11 next door and atm's.

  Agressive and not friendly at all.

  First my wife me and my 5 month old baby try to book by phone to this hotel, we've been answered by a person who wasn't nice at all limit shouting then told us " me no sepik english" with an angry voice then off the line. We did not understand why, we were just trying to get a room for our family. The day after we decided to go there anyway and we met the same uneducated person who was the same as she was on the phone with one thing different she was taking of her black spot on her face skin while she was answering to us. We finaly got one room but the lady told us that hot water was not available. We asked her why because we were thinking of our baby shower then she became angry for no reason and told us to go check another hotel with dark eyes. We stayed there a night then we left with the impossibility to talk to a manager to explain to him that it was not a way to talk to us to a family who came in thailand for rest. This is not thailand. Beware.

  NARUNDORN 3

  Just to want to be clear I am reviewing Narundorn 3. A truly awful place, used almost exclusively by Thais and they're welcome to it. The only good thing to say is it is 100 yards from the beach. During our stay, 5th - 8th December 2013, there was building work going on both neighbouring resorts, resulting in drilling and banging noises from 8am - 9Pm daily. When we complained to staff they just shrugged and said "oh usually they stop at 5Pm". The room was fairly clean but the bathroom was very dirty. No breakfasts served and probably just as well. Avoid like the bubonic plague. The daily rate was 1000 baht but on a Saturday 1800 baht - not worth that by a longmile.

  Big room good rate

  The best thing about this hotel was the nice room with a good rate. Also the location is very good, close to the beach. Many nice restaurants surround. The room was big, garden view, but the door was directly outside, I was feeling a bit not secure (safe) about that. The hotel facilities were very minimum. But there is free parking area.
