Do not stay here!I do not recommend this hotel. First of all it's located in part of a tall office building where the lobby is under renovations. The room we had was dirty. My white socks were black just from walking on the floor! It's noisy due to the traffic just below. Although you do get great views of the Nile River. The breakfast was edible but not something I'd want again. The staff were friendly and helpful. You can absolutely do much better in Cairo for the price of a room here!

Good valueI've seen that people were put off by the entrance being under construction. Don't be! Most buildings in Cairo are! This one is actually more finished than others. Our tour guide told us that the reason why almost all houses are unfinished is because they put a huge tax on them if they are. Even though the lobby and outside are looking rough, it's nice and clean inside. The price was really budget but the rooms were huge with AC and hot water. The staff were extremely helpful even though some of them didn't speak the best English. I thought they didn't understand me when I told them we had a very early tour the next day, but then they knocked on the door with some packed croissants and pastries we could bring with us. The breakfast apart from the coffee was brilliant Middle Eastern. Falafel, beans, pita bread, omelette and fresh juices. The hotel is right in the middle of Cairo, not far from the Egyptian Museum, even though we took a Taxi there because there are no walkways to the other side of the Nile. Shame because the traffic is horrendous and that's why you get dust on everything. The view from our room on the 15th floor was spectacular! I loved it and a lot quieter than other hotels in Egypt.

Value, Friendly Staff, LocationIf you've only ever stayed at an American chain, and aren't open to a slightly different local adventure, then move along. This isn't your hotel. But, if you don't mind the construction in the lobby, and the fact that the hotel is on the 15th floor of an office building, keep reading. The staff was incredibly friendly even if their English is a bit limited. I felt like they genuinely cared about me and every single one without exception worked hard to welcome me to Egypt. It is difficult in any hotel to find this level of caring. The rooms themselves are large and do have excellent views. For those staying with a family, there is plenty of room. I was alone and felt like I had a suite. The rooms remind me more of budget hotels I've stayed at in Latin America, but they were very clean and I loved having windows that actually open, even if you pay the price for an open window with some noise from the street below. It's a busy street, but the view is worth it. The food is excellent. At first, I thought it was slow, but then I realized that it's just a tiny kitchen and one very sweet woman cooking with all of the love in the world in each plate. Breakfast is included and is enormous. Room service is extremely reasonable. It's the same price as the restaurant but without all the hidden fees you normally see in a restaurant. Even though the building is an office building, security is there 24/7 and when I arrived at 4am, they helped me get to the hotel floor right away. The one thing I would do is just make sure you have a copy of the address with you, and you won't have any issue. I took both airport taxi at first and then ubers for the rest of my stay. They found me just fine as did the guides who picked me up for my tours. Overall, I do recommend if you want local flavor, don't expect everything to look like it does in the United States, and want good value for the money.

Surprisingly beautiful, and comfortableHaving had a hard time finding this place, and having braced the apparently drab appearance outside and in the ground floor, and the old creaking elevators, I was beautifully surprised to arrive into the 15th floor of a tall building, to a splash of views of Cairo and the Nile and Zamalek and Al Gezira from such lofty heights. I enjoyed this totally. And I should say, so far, this was the best for views. My room was perfect, clean, comfortable. I just missed hot water in the bathroom. And a few of the hooks needed fixing. Internet worked well. There are restaurants just nearby. And the Nile is just across the street. Perfect for walks and boat rides. It felt like I could live without TV, and just watch the street and the river in place of TV. Sunrise filtered into my room, and was gorgeous. Although I did not ask, it would be better for more bottled water in the rooms, and more in the way of tea and coffee.
