  RATHNAPURA night out

  This place centred in City but in cool place so it is easy for visits. Rice and curry for lunch is excellent Room is clean and tidy also specious . Get TV and A/C Not much view from the room Staff is friendly

  Good location

  This accommodation has a good location near the town. The roads can be congested during school hours. The rooms are reasonably clean and mosquitoes can enter from the bathroom. The view from this hill top is great and the town can be seen below. The newer block has larger rooms but the rates are much higher. Breakfast is simply awesome. For three days I have tried the English, American and local food. The lemon tea was very fragrant. Mr Ronald the hotel manager made the difference in our stay. Any drawbacks were promptly dealt with by him. He ordered the room to be sprayed by insecticide aerosol, made sure our breakfast was prepared well and ensured our stay was comfortable He is a real asset to this hotel. Because of him alone, some of us will return to this accommodation.

  Budget hotel

  The hotel is old and worn, with concrete floors and dim lights. The room wardrobe smelled strongly of insecticide, but then again we did not have a problem with mosquitoes or cockroaches. There was a/c in the room which worked well. The view from the room was quite unremarkable. Bed quality was average. The hotel manager spoke excellent English and was very service-minded. There is a restaurant on the premises. The menu was diverse, but it did not include alcohol.

  A Drinking Joint for locals

  The place is dirty and on line photos of the building are not real. When we arrived at night, local men were drinking in all three floors. If you mange to get any sleep by ignoring the noise from the main road, by 7.30 am you come out of your room to be greeted by rotten food, broken glasses and the smell of alcohol ...Not reccommended. Sleep in your vehicle if you dont have a choice....you are better off

  Worst place to stay

  I have stayed only 15min in this hotel and decided to change hotel. No lighting in night time, smell in room, bathroom are horrible, no cleaning, floor are not good, They are not using front door, using back door for in and out. Wasted money and moved to another good hotel.
