    Stay away, this aint real Nikko!!

    I have stayed at Nikko Bali, Nikko in Sydney, and Nikko in Ho Chinh Minh city, and have really enjoyed it. However this place is no where close. The property is rundown and the staff have a rather too much carefree attitude. The amenities provided in the rooms are okay. The coffee and tea facilities are really bad. The bathroom is tiny. The breakfast served in the so called premier lounge is far from premier. They are serving cold bacon rashers and deep fried potato gems (probably from a frozen packet). The breakfast was the same for all the four consecutive mornings that we were there. The pool area is crawling with small noisy kids all over so you cant even relax there. The hotel is furthest away from all the other properties so if you want to go anywhere, then you have to take a red shuttle bus which costs you US$4.00 for each trip. The staff dont really care much about whats going on around them either, whether you are at breakfast, pool, or in the lobby. PLEASE STEER CLEAR OF THIS PLACE!! There are many better places, offering you much more in Guam.

    Very disappointed

    We had high hope after reading the reviews but the 3 nights there was a total disappointment. The staff couldnt understand or speak much English. The lady who checked in for us was rude, no hi, no thank you and no smile. Once we got into the room, it smelled moldy and felt very humid. Towels were not fresh and dry. Bathtub stopped up when we had our first shower, then the hand sink didnt drain on the second day. We made reservation for the Chinese New Year lunch buffet, food was horrible like a fast food restaurant. I have been wondering why the rating was so high, it might be because of the clientele. I never saw a westerner during my 3 nights there, I would say most of them were Japanese with few Koreans. We spent another 3 nights at Sheraton, we felt like being home, everything was up to our standards and expectations. The Hotel definitely needs a face lift and requires replacement of the noisy AC units, furniture and many other items.

    Excellent views but needs some improvements

    Good Points - Views from the balcony are amazing. - Pool-our son loved the slide and we always managed to get a seat by the pool. -Nature trail had excellent views. -Pool staff were friendly, and efficient. I was impressed that they greeted my son each day by his name. -Free shuttle bus. -Staff in the Premier Lounge were friendly. -Cocktails and wine in lounge good with amazing views. -Car hire good value and easy to arrange in the hotel lobby. -Room cleaned well and well stocked with good quality toiletries. They refilled water every day, to contradict previous reviews. -Eggs cooked to order in the Lounge for breakfast. To improve - Room dated. Stains on the carpet and decor dated. Noisy A/C I have stayed at other Nikkos so expected more. -The tone set at check in. List of rules that gave the impression that customers were in the wrong. A very high holding deposit, the highest I have ever paid. The room also had various rules posted that you would not expect in a quality hotel. - Pool bar needs a massive refurbishment. The chairs had no cushions and the drink selection was poor. -Very long queues for the Lounge breakfast so get there early. I was also surprised this ended at 10 and the main breakfast buffet ended at 930. Overall, a relaxing stay but the hotel and facilities need updating.

    Local rates

    Availed 2 rooms as they were selling at local rates. Stayed on the 15th with connecting rooms, rooms are spacious. During Covid its worth the stay as the facility was not crowded. Kids loved the pool/ beach area.

    The MOLD

    I dont often leave reviews. I stay in tons of hotels worldwide and Ive decided I need to say something. The view is amazing, the hotel seems well enough upon a superficial inspection. Then it will hit you. The mold smell is overwhelming! Absolutely stale moldy smell, and its terrible. Very much not what youd expect from a 5 star hotel.
