  Worst night ever

  I was having a long flight and check in at 10:30pm in Nikko! Knowing that they have spa at 5/F and so I go to see if I can have a quick spa to relax. The spa reception said they will organisé a masseur to my room while I dont mind. Few minutes later, its a girl with heavy make up, super miniskirt can see her bottom with super pink high-heels! I straightly feel not right but trying to convincing myself Nikko Hotel Spa shouldnt organisé à working girl for me ( a lady) for massage. After some very bad massage, I let her go but she stay at my room asking for cash and not leaving! I never ever experienced before that I stay in hotel doing spa and have to pay cash & cant put in my room Charge!? The Worst is She stay in my room and very angry when I call reception to ask her to leave, and put the bill in my room!!! 5mins later, the miniskirt keep banging my door and ring my bell! Cant imagine stay in the international hotel Nikko will have this service! At the end, a staff in the hotel call me to say sorry and telling me because lots of guys asking for happy service! So Nikko will organisé???? Its freedom of choice to have diffident service but as Im a lady, asking nikkos spa for massage, they should at least turn me down or told me if there is only happy service, only cash, is that ok for u????? Then, as least I can say NO! Right? Horrible night!!!

  A Good and Reasonable Hotel

  Nikko Hotel is conveniently located at the Zhongshan District, a 10 minute walk from Zhongshan Plaza where all the banks and the Friendship Mall are located. It is also close to the Tianjin Street and the Russian Street which are the local attractions. We had a Delux Twin Room with breakfast and it cost only just under US$400 for 4 nights. The room was very spacious with complete amendities. Besides the restaurant where we had breakfast, the hotel also has a Chinese restaurant and a Japanese restaurant. We tried out the Chinese restaurant on our last evening. The food was good and very very reasonable. The portions were very big. We could not even finish half of the dishes which was a shame. We had a chicken dish, a fried glass noodles with foi gras, a tomato ox tail and ox tendon pot, plus a bowl of rice. It cost only just over RMB200. Right next to Nikko is another hotel restaurant . The food there was so good that we had to have dinner there for two out of three evenings. On one of the evenings, even with delicacies like abalone, sliced whelk, uni dumplings and a stuffed egg plant dish, the bill only came to RMB400+ for two people. In general food is very good and prices are more than reasonable even in the hotels. Dalian is a very affordable city. The best time to visit is in mid October after the Labour Holidays and before it gets too cold. I would avoid going there in July and August when shools are on holiday and the weather can be very hot. Many of the places are without air conditioning.

  Still A Japanese Gem In Dalian, China

  This big, beautiful, Japanese style hotel in the heart of downtown Dalian is still a gem. It can be booked online without a credit card, free, and you can change the booking, if you book through TripAdvisor.com. Right around the corner is Cafe Copenhagen, which may be the best "Western" restaurant in Dalian. Nikko is easy to find as it towers over everything in the neighbourhood. There are good clubs and shops in the neighbourhood, right across the street, up the street, and on the next block.

  Beautiful!!

  One of my favourite hotels EVER!! fantastic location, lovely staff, brilliant breakfast buffet and amazing rooms!! Would live here if I could!! Surrounded by many restaurants, bars, shops etc! The restaurant is outstanding!! Just an amazing hotel!

  Friendly and comfortable - showing a lttle wear and tear

  This is a five star hotel in Dalian, and it deserves its five stars. As this is now in the Nikko family (former Hilton) it comes to no surprise that more of the staff has Japanese as a second language than English. Still the staff is generally friendly, hard working and attentive. The rooms are large and comfortable, although you can see signs of wear and tear here and there. The hotel has good restaurants, I tried the buffet and the Chinese restaurant and both were good. They have a large fitness and spa area, with a large pool, a distinct plus. When you add that the location is central in down town and that they have competitive prices compared to other 5 star hotels I will give my recomendation to choose this hotel.
