Decent HotelI was on business trip for 1 week. It was a decent hotel with required facilities. Only downside is breakfast , which is nothing but just a piece of bread and coffee. If you know french then its easy , else you have to sleep hungry :) . People are friendly and helpful.

Disappointing but it still a better optionIf you are travelling to Africa for the first time, this will give you a not so good impression. Air-con needs constant fixing, the guys are helpful though. The beds are definitely not the best. Th location of this hotel is not the best but could be ideal if you want to mix with the locals. Breakfast was awful but i got so used to it (better than staying hungry) The place is really bad but the people are fantastic.

hell hotel, were it not for fawlty towers staff, so don't stay here if you can avoid itMy country partner booked the hotel for me (all other hotels were full due to conference season). The first room made me just want to turn away and go back to the airport, luckily the charming - in an extremely non-verbal way - boy behind the counter got me a "better" room. Better is relative, the room was still dirty, the air muffy and smelly, the air conditioning did not work (at 44* or 110 F) quite a few people were huddled in the reception area I think the only place where there was some cooler air, the shower/toilet dirty (luckily there was some water, and it was lukewarm thanks to the high temperature outside), there was a piece of soap (if it looks like soap it must be soap even if it smells of frying fat and does not foam)... The breakfast contained 3 tiny wedges of french bread, and some jam, hot water for tea or nescafé... Lunch was actually ok, I just asked for fried eggs with vegies, and fries. The cook was really fawlty towers, and once I got him to smile and told him it was nice, he seemed over the moon, the poor man probably gets 99% complaints given the state of the rest of the hotel... I would not dare to eat meat or fish given the constant power outages... which made the WIFI turn off, and every time it needed resetting which took up to two hours (so no WIFI)... Bottled water was served at ambient temperatures (44*), and there was an afternoon where they were out of bottled water and there is not much in the neighborhood to stock up on.... so all in all avoid it if you can... Getting back to the airport the shuttle was in for repairs so they ordered the most expensive cab I have ever h taken in Niamey (10.000 going to the airport) but at that point I was just happy to be going to Burkina Faso ...

Really POORWhere to even begin with this place? And really it all comes down to POOR management/ownership, whom it is very clear doesn't care about their guests. Stayed several weeks and here is what was experienced. First and foremost, the AC was not working so it was poor sleeping. Staff said they were trying to fix it but didn't appear that it ever really worked, ever. Had to use a floor fan, were it not for that sleeping would've been unbearable. Second, the filth of this place. Carpets with stains that I am sure date back to, decades? Hallways rooms bathroom towels, all stained with, well, who knows, who wants to know! Outside area littered with trash and garbage bins not EVER emptied. The hotel hosted conferences for dignitaries and still garbage bins had the same trash and were always overflowing. Breakfast, went down one morning just to get a pastrie and take to my room and was stopped, no food allowed out of restaurant. Really? Saw several people carrying food out of there to their rooms on several days. Poor selection as well on breakfast. Asked house keeping to come to room to change up bed change towels etc. Called again an hour later, No show. I could add more but no point. Hotel Hell. Four star hotel? by what standard. No one was expecting the Ritz but these basic things that I mentioned, considering the price, over 100$ US, what a scam. Front desk staff were either completely indifferent or didn't care attitude. The only positive that I can mention is that the wifi worked fairly well considering the location. Go to the Grand, Much better
