  I like this place. the staffs are friendly. H. Safril, oce, Iwan n rita to name a few r very friendly. Oce n Safril the manager took me to the traditional minangkabau arts with his own transport. 100 minutes of traditional musical are very entertaining. H safril arranged transport for me to visit textile market, lake meninjau, water fall, china town in padang then to hotel hang tuah at rp450k only 12 hrs trip. Rita has arranged a massage for my wife.

  The hotel price is reasonable but i think the hotel itself is quite old. Basic room either with 2 twin bed or 1 queen bed. Towel, dental kit are provided. Need to ask the staff to spray with mosquito repellant. The room has no aircond or fan but the weather there is cool and nice so you don't need that. Breakfast is serve with local dishes and it is quite nice. The location is not far from tourist spot, about 5 minute walk and it is close to restaurant and convenience store. However, its a bit noisy especially during the weekend as some youngsters conduct illegal motor races.

  Location of the hotel is quite good. Near to the restaurant and about 15 minutes walk to Jam Gadang. There is no air-cond and fan in the room so please don't take ground floor room since there will be no air in the room. There is also no lift in the hotel. Breakfast menu is quite delicious for asian tastebud.

  Comfortable

  We love the location. Easy access to shops and restaurants, as well as tourist attractions. They have a good variety of breakfast. We're happy with the hospitality shown by the staff especially at the front desk.

  Average in about anything

  Pros: good location. Fairly professional and kind staffs Cons: nothing really fancy. Breakfast is a bit of a disappointment. Room is a bit better than I thought but still far below your average hotel like amaris and ibis budget
