Luxury Tent Camp!Stayed two nights at this camp - with cape buffalo visiting day and night. We were cared for with hot water bottles at night and escorts to and from our tents to the main tent. The staff were professional and friendly - the two 15 year old boys and I played cards with Mali and Ben. These gentlemen also helped us make fire in the traditional Massai way. The camp was exceedingly clean and comfortable, and the food was exceptional. The beautiful setting was the icing on the cake!

Mobile luxury campWe stayed here 2 nights of our 5 week tour through Africa with OAT. The tents were quite comfortable and spacious. We had zebras and elephants visit the camp during the night and day. There is a lovely eating tent with a bar and sitting area. This was the most primitive tent camp we stayed in during our trip but very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed out time here. Enjoy the talking showers here!

Lovely setting, disappointing serviceMy boyfriend and I stayed here one night during an 8-day trip to Tanzania, and it was the only place we stayed where we weren't completely thrilled. The setting is lovely, and the rooms are charming. We LOVE Tanzanian food and had excellent food at all our other lodges and camps, but the fish here was almost inedibly tough, and poorly flavored. During dinner, some Maasai came to put on a dance and music show. It was enjoyable for about 5 minutes, but lasted much longer than that, so it was impossible to have the kind of relaxing dinner we wanted, just listening to the sounds of the forest and talking. (And of course we were asked to contribute money to the Maasai, which was fine but felt obligatory.) We wanted to order a bottle of wine, but had little cash on us, so we confirmed first with the manager that we could pay with credit card. Then in the morning when we paid our bill, the credit card machine was not working -- and the manager finally conceded that they had been having trouble for the last week. We reminded her that we had asked about this and had ordered the wine only because she had assured us credit cards would be fine, but she basically shrugged her shoulders and said we'd have to pay cash. We had extremely limited cash with us and had to use what little we had. We offered to leave a credit card number or impression with her, and she could charge our card once her machine was working again, but she refused. (We were able to do this at another camp, so we know it is possible.) I wish she could have worked with us or at least acknowledge her mistake. Also there was no hot water in our room. Someone was sent to fix it, but it was not fixed, and we had to take cold showers. At that point, we felt that we should have been comped the wine, or at least given some token accommodation! We would probably not return to this place, despite its beautiful location.

after 3 other luxury tented camps, this one was a bit disappointingwe stayed here on the last night of our 9 day safari. we had come to really appreciate the luxury tented camps. the tent was adequate and the view from it was very nice. the staff was friendly, but for some reason this place did not excite us like the other places we had stayed. maybe it had to do with the fact that after being in country for over 2 weeks (climbed Kilimanjaro before the safari) and we were ready to go home. the layout of the place is like something we'd never seen before. it was a total maze. luckily they have signs directing customers to their tents so there was no problem finding them. it is in the middle of wildlife so one needs to be careful when walking the grounds. for one night it was adequate, but would not have wanted to stay longer.

Amazing Tented CampWe spent our last night of our safari at the Kirurumu Tented Camp. Quiet and beautiful. The tents were comfortable and beautifully decorated....full bathrooms with hot showers The staff was attentive and friendly....especially Elliott the restaurant manager. Definitely a 5 star experience
