Assistant ManagerI had a very enjoyable stay at the Newstead. I checked in on September 4th and checked out on September 12th It was a lovely staycation and was very relaxing. The suite was Hugh and the view from my balcony soothed all Of my anxieties. I would recommend Newstead to anyone that needs some quiet time away from home. The staff were friendly and the pool was lovely. Sincerely Patricia Swan

Staycation At NewsteadFor the most part it was okay. However, as a local I feel they didn't give me the wow service I expected. Sierra was great but the reservation manager needs to improve on customer service. Was disappointed!

Covid Safe Getaway!!!!A friend and I decided to take a quick trip during Covid. We were obviously nervous of Covid and researched the safest countries to visit. Bermuda was at the top of our list with their Covid safety protocols. We liked that they tested prior to arrival and tested while in the country. We felt super safe while in Bermuda and had a wonderful vacation. We chose Newstead as our resort. The pictures and reviews were amazing. When we arrived all of the staff wore masks and there was hand sanitizer throughout the resort. The property was extremely clean and well kept. The views were amazing and the staff was wonderful. I would definitely love to return.

Just Book ItWhere do I begin? 2020 has been a little wild for us all, and sometimes you just need to get away from it for awhile. Mom and I booked an unforgettable vacation to this lovely place. We made it happen with 10 days before departure, during this pandemic and have never felt safer traveling. If you do go, I highly encourage you to educate yourself on Bermudas requirements to obtain a travel certificate (1 NEG test required <48hrs of travel to avoid quarantine upon arrival). Everyone, I mean everyone on the island was so kind and helpful. Might I add VERY sanitary and kindly enforced the rules. It was no wonder it had been nearly 3 weeks since a reported case.. The hotel is absolutely gorgeous. Pictures do NOT do it justice - which is why we ultimately booked. The infinity pool that overlooks the harbor is absolute breathtaking. But dont worry, their complementary shuttle will take you to their PRIVATE beach (Elbow Beach) across the way where you can claim your cabana and chairs with concierge service. Coming to a new country during these times, we had a ton of questions; but that didnt phase Aisha or Sierra at the front desk. They happily answered every one with a smile. Was very surprised to find out most amenities were open and running. They really made an effort to keep everything in tip-top shape. After we had been traveling for 14 hours, a good dinner was in order but word of advice- plan before your arrival a self-quarantine at your destination is required until your rapid test results are obtained via email we didnt plan for this but no problem. The nice concierge (I forgot to get his name) went out of his way to offer a hand delivery of a sister restaurant down the road. Let me tell you those were some of the best burgers weve had. The sunset view from our balcony was the Cherry on top to our dining experience in self-quarantine. Everything was so clean. I couldnt believe a full kitchen was in our room. 2 bathrooms! And all the little details. If you have time, I HIGHLY recommend the spa. Kitty was my moms masseuse and Alin was mine. Let me tell you- coming from a person who has had spa experiences all over the world, by far, hands - down best spa experience of our lives. To paint a better picture, we went down to the restaurant where we were greeted by the manager, Ian (Fletch), who later commented that we appeared as if we had enjoyed ourselves the night before (in the nicest- politest way possible). Our hair was disheveled every which way and we must have just appeared so relaxed. The food was phenomenal, and was surprised to learn the restaurant crew pulled through, put in the extra time to make sure everything was set to reopen AFTER they did a full remodel during Covid. If that isnt teamwork, I dont know what is. And without Fletch sharing this with us, we would have never known. Oh, and make sure to check out their gym. Its truly a hidden gem-pun intended- but stocked with brand new equipment and Peloton bikes, you have a front row seat to a view over the harbor. During our - night stay, I only saw one other person using it! Everything is sanitary and they made sure to have sanitizing spray & towels stocked to wipe down equipment. Our stay was short, but jam-packed full of memories. Not one second will be forgotten. There were many other employees who contributed to our stupendous stay, and want them to be credited as well. (Aug 5-8, 2020) Thank you to each and every one of you who made this a dream vacation. God Bless you all!

Great experiences, Aurora restaurant just need minor tweakMy friends and I love this hotel for a staycation (we live/work in Bermuda). There are many hotels, but this is a great location for town, has great facilities (spa/pool!!!!) and the restaurant is perfect if a tad pricey. I say pricey because in Bermuda, although an average sit down tablecloth, 3 course meal service, you would expect 23-$35 for your main, but at Aurora they are $28-$42. The service and execution in infallible. Presention and setting are supreme. Modern, clean and not austere, but light and beautiful. Rooms are MODERN with everything you'd need. This place still lightens my heart. Balconies are a JOY too. Who doesn't want a infinity pool where you can watch the boats leave the capital harbour?!! Oh, and they provide a ferry in the summer from the hotel straight into town.
