Ok, but didnt feel Covid safeThere was a bizarre trend for staff to wear masks under their noses and sometimes even under their mouths too. Consequently didnt feel particularly safe. Otherwise an ok place to stay, staff were friendly, rooms were clean although they hadnt thought through their Covid plans as rooms were not being serviced but dry towels and room supplies left for you to collect from a table which was fine but there was no system for returning wet towels or emptying bins - with a small baby this meant fairly stinky bins after 4 days! Food was ok, nothing to write home about! The pool was a nice perk.

Sunday RoastGreat service and food. 2 adults and 2 children left clean plates all round. Lots on the menu and the restaurant wasnt too busy. They gave us a choice of sitting in the bar or restaurant and we chose the restaurant.

Filthy roomWas meant to stay 2 nights didnt get to unpack .our room was different to the picture when we booked , it didnt even look nice , was old looking .dirty skirting boards stained broken lamp and stained bed base and bed side lights thick with dust , got offered another room which was full of cobwebs ,toP of the bed thick of dirt and looked as if something was growing up there, was told 3 cleaners had been in .by this time we just wanted to go home was very stressed ,should of been spotless especially with the COVID 19 got refused refund but eventually got it few days later .out break was absolutely ruined as we waited 8 months ,also the lady on reception wasnt very nice and made it clear we wasnt getting our money back even though it wasnt our fault .would not recommend to anyone We had a 2 hr drive there and 2 hr drive back home which as wasted .

Faded elegance. This hotel is in dire need of some TLC. Although Covid-19 restrictions were in place during our visit we found that the staff had a fairly relaxed attitude though several of them seemed less than enthusiastic to be working. Our room had a lovely view over Lake Windermere and that was the best part of it. A lick of paint here and there was sorely needed. Breakfast was fine whilst the evening meal turned out to be a triumph of enthusiasm over substance.

Needs MAJOR Refurb - Tired and DatedStayed in December 19, had a rather okay visit with a decent room. Booked in July 2020 for 1 night and had a really unpleasant stay. Room was a mess, weird layout - hit my head twice on the low ceiling when going the toilet. Lots of cigarettes buds outside the hotel, bar service was slow, reception staff unfriendly, which is usually a bad sign! Has a nice charm but needs a MASSIVE refurbish ASAP. Overpriced hotel in my opinion.
