  pesimo viaje

  lo primero de todo y malo que hay es que para acceder al hotel tiene que ser en barca del propio hotel, que estas barcas estan sujetas a unos horarios es decir que no tienes ningun tipo de libertad para entrar y salir del hotel. tienes 5 salidas y 5 entradas gratuitas cuando te pasas de estas horas tienes que pedirlo a recepcion y pagar unos 50 euros por trayecto. y que la ultima llegada la hotel es a las 18:00. luego tiene que ser a las 23:00 y pagando. las habitaciones son una castaña yo tube una suit superior eso era un horno teniamos un aire acondicionado y un ventilador pero no da a basto. es todo muy viejo de vez en cuando ves en tu habitacion una lagartija, cucarachas, la madera de las ventanas calcomida. huele fatal es decir cualquier pension es mejor que ese hotel con 4 estrellas. el desayuno es malisimo y siempre lo mismo, ves como los pajaros se comen la comida, la cena algo mejor pero no mucho. si quieres internet tienes que ir a recepcion y pagar 80 rupias por media hora. la sala de television es una habitacion con 20 sillas tipo cine. y de la playa privada nada es un trozo de arena muy sucia , y la otra playa delante del hotel es malisima toda llena de piedras y del agua a las palmeras habra 1m y medio. y nunca cager el viaje por angalia te deja tirado puesto que si dices que busques otro hotel porque efectivamente no es nada parecido a lo que te venden te dicen que lo tienes que pagar tù porque el contrato que tiene es que el hotel no devuelve ni un duro. yo no aconseja a nadie ese hotel ni el tour operador angalia.

  Closed. No Longer In Business.

  Visited the abandoned hotel as part of a hike to Anse La Farine from Anse La Blague. Fantastic walk and beach. Unsettling views of the deserted hotel and a testimony to the sometimes fleeting nature of tourism. Looked like a lovely place in its day, but now just an empty shell with crumbling and decaying infrastructure. The abandoned hotel is to the right of the beach, so it is possible to enjoy the beach and ignore the hotel.

  Cannot believe it is closed.

  I am really dissapointed to hear that the NEC is permanently closed. I have passed there five wonderful days on november 2016, amd it looked busy enough...all rooms were full and and customers were changing. We chose it for offering the atmosphere of an exclusive location at an affordable price... and it was exactly this.. Accessible only via sea or by a secret walking trail from an offthebeatentrack part of the island, with a beautiful lagoon and the best snorkling in praslin only for you, thick jungle around it and interesting architecture (not exactly 100% eco but, defnately with a character and style looking harmonical with the landscape. Not kitch like many other hotels on praslin. Ok, bathroom is a bit small but you can live with it especially when the place is offwring so many other things.) and very very peaceful. NEC never claimed to be a luxurious resort...(so do not judge like this) but it was well organised with plenty of personel, decent facilities and services, rich breakfast and very very clean. They had even programmes for entertainment. You can say whatever you want for non perfect maintainance but what is sure is that the people running it were doing their best, something not easy in such a remote spot. Why did you close?? We were dreaming of returning there. Best greetings to all november 2016 crew.

  What a pity!!!

  We stayed at New Emerald Cove in September 2017, and we have dreamed to go back since then! What a pity to discover that it has been closed permanently. From the location to the food, passing through the friendly staff, everything was perfect during pur permanency. We just hope that New Emerald Cove will get back to business in future! ps. what happened to the lovely giant turtles living there?

  Vegetation is reclaiming the land

  Sad to see such degradation only 2 years after closure. I thought it happened 10years ago! Our guide told us that after closure, some people rushed to take everything from there. The hotel was totally ripped apart. This place gets dirty now that nobody is there to remove the waste left by locals drinking and partying in the area. It gets dangerous too with all the materials left and the decay of the facility. Good news is that the complex has never been greener since the vegetation is growing fast.
