  Extremely poor customer experience

  We had a last minute booking and needed to accommodate a couple plus our elderly mother so requested a family room which was utterly dank and depressing. On a cold winters evening, the heater provided was limited to only a third of its power by using a screw on the dial so we were permanently cold being in July. The duvets were thin, mean and insufficient with no additional blankets provided. The carpet smelt mouldy, along with the bedding and sheets. My recommendation would be to definitely avoid this motel as there are a number of other options nearby that appear to have better offerings and even price. The owner of this motel obviously has no idea!

  Very bad experience !

  $40$40rotorua That is very bad experience during last weekend .my boy friend and I booked new castle lodge for two nights ,and we check in together, the boss has confirmed we got two person as well .After we left the lodge ,I found that my credit card has been deducted an extra $40 dollars from new castle ,I called them and the boss said we got three persons so he has to charge another $40 dollars ,this is ridiculous, never had experience in New Zealand like this .Definitely new castle make a story for surcharge .really angry about it .They framed me . This is not a good way to collect money!

  Very accommodating

  We were arriving very late and they accommodated us nicely. We were only there for one night but we found the hosts great. The rooms tidy and clean. I would suggest maybe an extra blanket for cold nights. Great value for money.

  Tired rooms

  The rooms were tired and in need of refurbishment, although they were very clean. We didn't see anyone as the reception was closed and the key was left in the room. I think there are nicer places to stay in Rotorua than this motel.

  Worst motel ever wouldn't even house homeless there

  advertised as having satellite and cable but doesn't only freeview tv, spa bath not working properly and Asian staff/owner is rude. it was that bad I wouldn't recommend it for the homeless people even needs a bulldozer through it
