Este hotel de playa está situado en el pueblo de Platanias, a 5 km al este de Rétino, en el centro de la zona turística. Está en medio de la isla, lo que permite a los huéspedes visitar todas las bellas atracciones de Creta. Hay transporte público a las puertas del hotel y una estación de autobuses a unos 5 km. La playa está a solo unos 200 m del hotel, que está situado aproximadamente a 1 hora en coche desde los dos aeropuertos de Creta, el aeropuerto internacional de Chania, 'Ioannis Daskalogiannis' (aproximadamente a 70 km) y el aeropuerto internacional de Heraclión, 'Nikos Kazantzakis' (aproximadamente a 80 km).Se trata de un moderno complejo hotelero, amueblado elegante y lujosamente y rodeado de un jardín verde. Se ofrecen diversas bebidas y cafés en el bar, pub y cafetería del hotel. El establecimiento tiene aire acondicionado y cuenta con 105 habitaciones, vestíbulo con recepción y servicio de salida 24 horas, salón de peluquería, sala de TV, parque infantil y restaurante. Se ofrece conexión a Internet por un suplemento y los huéspedes que lleguen en coche pueden dejarlo en el aparcamiento. Se pueden alquilar bicicletas en el recinto.Las habitaciones del hotel están amuebladas de forma atractiva y confortable, y cada una de ellas está dotada de balcón o terraza, así como de cuarto de baño privado con ducha y bañera.     Sun, Sea and Great Service

    If you'd rather avoid vast, bustling hotel complexes then Nefeli is perfect for you. The layout is similar to a Cretian village, creating a private and personal feel. On arrival we were given the opportunity to view two rooms with the possibility of upgrading to a superior room for forty euros each. We took this option simply because the superior room had more modern facilities and the decor was more to our taste. All of the staff at Nefeli will go out of the their way to assist you and greet you with a friendly smile. We would particularly like to thank the reception staff for giving us helpful information on travelling into Rethymnon and making us feel so welcome and valued. On check out we were given a beautiful fridge magnet and box of soaps as momentos of our stay. The food and cocktails at Nefeli are beautiful, there is clear attention to detail and flavour and we enjoyed making our way through the cocktail menu! We'd particularly like to give a mention to Niki, a key member of the bar staff. Even though she was extremely busy, at times the only waitress taking orders, she always had time for a chat with us and would advise us on the best cocktails to order. Niki, we'll miss you! x Overall, we cannot recommend Nefeli enough. The only issues as such were the size of the pool and the amount of sunbeds, though this was not a problem as the beach was only a short walk away, as was Baja Beach Club.     excellent hotel

    Very good hotel near the beach. New renovation rooms, well furnished and clean. The food was amazing - we had breakfast and dinner. There is a lot of parking space behind the hotel. The animation is good. There is a supermarket next to the hotel if you need something to buy.

    a bitter disappointment

    Firstly they tried to "upgrade" us to a slummy apartment-we were dragging our suitcases from one room to another. The room was horrible, old and only a downgrade from what we had paid. They only cater for german guests- not one channel in english or greek to watch- thought its ok, we have wifi- another failure -didnt work in the rooms at all, so once in your room nothing to do. The staff were rude and obnoxious lying through their teeth. Wanted to leave and they wanted a cancellation fee- I said you are not catering to our needs and feel unwelcome. they took so long to reply that there was nowhere else to stay and we were stuck there. We git sick from air conditioning too. We came to platanes for sentimental reasons being my dads hometown but this hotel left a very bitter taste. I would not recommend it to anyone. They are liars and cheats trying to swindle people. To top it off you can only change pool towels every 2 days after paying a deposit for them. Room does not get serviced on sundays as they do not want to pay staff penalty rates. Thisis not even 2 star service!

    Pleasant stay.

    The hotel is located in a good place and the town is not far away. Easy access to the beach. The staff is very friendly and everything is clean.I enjoyed my stay. Thanks for everything guys.Best regards. Im sure that if i visit Crete again in the future i will choose you again. :)

    A great stay

    We recently spent two weeks at this hotel and were very happy with all aspects. Yes, the majority of the guests seemed to be German but we were not made to feel second-rate at all. The staff on reception were very helpful with any queries we had. The dining room staff, too, were lovely and friendly. We were certainly impressed with the meals and the range of food available at the buffet both for breakfast and for the evening meal. Our room was spacious and comfortable.
