  Room okay....don't buy your bus tickets there

  Stayed here for 4 nights and the room was okay and in a pretty good part of town. They only cleaned once in the 4 nights that we were there and we had to ask for fresh towels. We were moving on to Siem reap after our time in Kampot and asked about the bus tickets they were selling. They told us it was a direct bus with only gas stops. We had a lot of luggage so we thought it would be nice to not have a layover. A van not a bus picked us up with 10 other people plus all their luggage and we realized after leaving the city limits that this over crowded van was our ride to Phnom pehn. The diver drove way to fast and had huge difficulties changing gears. When we arrived in Phnom pehn we were told to get out....another passenger started to unload the luggage and the driver sent us and another couple across the street to wait for our connection. We noticed on the sign that neither of our destinations were there so we question the driver before he took off. He then made a phone call and walked us to another bus station were we waited almost 3 hours for our other bus which then turned out to be a bus for locals and stopped every half an hour.....3 times for the men to pee on the side of the road once for the women. 12 hours later we arrived. Go to a travel agent and do your homework when booking a bus ticket and don't buy one from them.

  Could have been good

  We booked 3 nights over the internet, there were only two places on the bookingsite that had rooms left. Didn't expect much for the price. Having read the reviews, I looked at the sheets. They where not white, had yellowish parts and seemed to be "sleepwrinkly". Anyway, I decided that I should be open-minded for other definitions of cleanliness than my european ones. Anyhow, the next day, I saw the cleaning of a room after guests (and before new guests) consisting in hanging the used undersheets and coversheets over the "balconyfence" to air and then put them back, unwashed and unchanged for the next guest. I actually don't mind living in a place where the room isn't cleaned daily, where you don't get new towels everyday, nor new waterbottles, or fancy shampoo or where you have to ask for toilet paper. But I don't want to sleep in other guests sheet. So a 4/5 quickly turned to a 2/5 (almost a 1/5).

  Poor

  Long story made short, we had a room, the ceiling of the bathroom was flooded and water fall from it, the guys didn't care at all just said "it's clean water". So the place is quite dirty, and the owner note nice at all. It's expensive, you can find a dirty guesthouse around 7$...

  Terrible

  It was worst of worst. This hotel's Facilities for price is not good. Breakfast is too simple and bed is so small to sleep 3 person, and they provide just simple product (- shampoo and toothbrush & soap ) in their bathroom. there isnot television, garbage can(just there is plastic bag) in the room.Those are not too good . That price is not reasonable. and i can book sunset boat tour and bus ticket in this hotel. this boat tour is from 5pm to 7pm. we went to riverside, got on the boat but the boat waited for 30-40min their station. and the boat is leaving and five minutes later stopped in the middle of the river until 7pm. How come they didnot change another boat immediately. we stay 2hours in the river. we cannot move anymore~! its getting dark. we was disappointed with it. we were very very very very~ angry!!!! after 2hours we got another boat went to see firefly. we feel no desire, no appetite.we came back hotel, but they said they dont any responsibility for it. and their booking bus was also terrible. we should have to go to phnompenh by reverse direction seat. we had a travel sickness. i dont want to think again

  Enjoyable stay

  This is the third time that I have been to Kampot. Before I stayed another questhouse but feel not comfortable and fresh. But while I stay at Nakru questhouse feel enjoyable stay, reception so friendly and everything here is good. I will be back to stay here again with my family in the next year.
